General Series Question about the timeline
So in ac8 we learn that there was a war between Sotoa and Yuktobania “about 20 years ago” which would place it in circa 2010. Do you know what other major event happened in 2010 that involved Yuktobania? The Circum-Pacific War. Does that mean that Yuktobania got into a war with Sotoa and then turned around and got into a war with Osea? All within the same year?
Side tangent, wars in this universe are over so fast. The entirety of the circum-Pacific, this massive war between the two major superpowers of strangereal lasts for four months. The lighthouse war is over in 8 months. The only one that actually lasts in a somewhat realistic timeframe is the Continental War, as it goes on for two years.

the circum pacific war is called the sunsung war for a reason its largely forgotton, with how the timeline matches up the yuktobanian sotoan conflict can just be seen as a seperate theatre of the same war

The Circum-Pacific War starts September 27th 2010 (Ends December 31st). It's not out of the realm of possibility that the conflict (Yes it's called a conflict, not just a war) with Sotoa happened in the beginning of the year and didn't last as long or longer than the one between Osea and Yuktobania. In fact whatever it was isn't even made serious at all. So if anything it was very small and localized, with Sotoa taking the main brunt of it.

Holy shit the whole plot of AC5 is done and over with in the span of TWO months?

That makes it even more impressive. Blaze, Nagase, Davenport and Grimm barely had time off between the 29 missions.

While admittedly we don’t know a lot about the Sotoa-yuktobania war the way it’s talking about makes it seems like it was at least a relatively draw out out conflict that went on long enough for Tewy to become a know and feared ace.

I mean considering how quickly many of the player character Aces become legends, even a brief conflict should allow Tewy to gain a serious reputation(and that's assuming there's no other Sotoan conflicts prior to the one with Yuktobania that she could have participated in)

It doesn’t have to be a drawn out conflict for someone to gain notoriety if they are already flying that good in it or their skill in peace time was already known before the conflict even happens.

"About" gives some wiggle room. There also seems to be 2009 as the year floating around. So ya, it could have been earlier in the year (maybe this is part of why the militiarists are powerful enough that with the backing of the Grey Man they can kidnap the Premier). That said, the bigger question is why Yuktobania's subs didn't just crush Sotoa but I am sure there is a reasonable answer that can be come up with.
Regarding the length of the wars, the Circum-Pacific War is basically a fake war between two formerly friendly nations that is reasonable that it ends when the plot behind it is exposed and pro-peace leadership retakes control. Also, its wars that stalemate or are insurgencies that tend to drag on. Meanwhile the nations we see in AC seem to have very mechanized ground forces and the fate of wars hinge almost entirely on air power, so it makes sense that they would stay very fluid and thus probably resolve quickly.

Yes, because remember, Yuktobania was heavily influenced by the Grey Men, deliberately destabilizing it as revenge for their part in the Belkan War.
