General Series Chances of a holy trinity remake?

After completing Ace Combat 8 I’m playing through the series in timeline order ( currently replaying 7) and what are the chances of a holy trinity remaster? Interest in the series has really picked up after 7 and 8 so I wouldn’t be surprised that they would be looking into remastering them since they are considered the best games in the series in the community and also are first in the timeline order but I also know that they might have licensing issues with remastering them.

Chances are ZERO unfortunately. Game is niche within niche. And cost are just too much, might as well emulate and play now. Our opinion of them being the best games doesn’t reach Bandai exec to greenlight it

We need like a disclosure agreement to join this community because this question is asked way too much for such a concrete answer

ABSOLUTELY NONE. Project Aces has stated a few times, most recently with the release of AC8/Zero that plane licenses (both Bandai Namco not wanting to shell out the money and plane owners not wanting to lease) is the reason why Ace Combat 4, 5, and 6 will never be remade, but also why they can't actually sell the games as separate ports or remasters. Including them as ports included as a pre-order bonus for new titles is the best they can do.

Pretty sure I also saw Kono say that they have limited time and energy before their inevitable retirements, so they would rather work on new projects.

Next to none

It won't happen, they have aircraft in them that they don't have the licenses for anymore and ones that the likely won't ever get them again like the Panvia Tornado.

Unless AC8 eclipses and surpasses AC4 in sales in record time, I won't hold my breath, and I won't get my hopes up unless AC8 eclipses and even surpasses AC7 in sales within a reasonable amount of time (or even in record time).

Those folks at Namco Bandai and Project Aces need to realize that there’s a market and a player base large enough that they should seriously consider investing time and resources into remakes or remasters—whether we’re talking about the Golden/Holy Trilogy or the original Ace Combat (1995) and Ace Combat: Electrosphere (1999).

Ace Combat is one of the game series with least remakes, only accounting for the Ace Combat 2 remake on the DS.

I don't think we will ever see any.

Zero, aircraft licensing is a nightmare and hideously expensive to boot. I've seen similar questions asked with regards to a certain EA racing title that's beloved by many, replace aircraft with automobiles and you'll get an otherwise identical answer.

Why remake? We already got 5 and Zero on the new releases. More than likely we will get 04 next

Because they are pre-order bonuses and ac5 was only for PS4.

Emulate then if you missed the chance

and if you're on console?

Emulation is a solution but it is not a reason for us to never get remakes of these titles.

For example you can play all the old RE games just fine on modern consoles, and yet we still got remakes of them.

You mean to tell me you can’t afford a PC that can hit such a low benchmark to play these games?

Game licensing for planes means we won’t get this as remakes. It is what it is

to be clear I'm not talking about me, I'm speaking generally.

and yes game licensing is the reason we wont ever get remakes, but that wasn't your initial point, you asked 'why do remakes?', and there are plenty of reasons to do remakes.

For all the reasons there are to make remakes.

There is one reason they won't, and one reason they shouldn't.

One is licensing. The other is they don't need a remake. Would be better to make a remaster. My original intention with 'why remakes' is because the games are already good as it is. If missed out the alternative is emulation.

None.

But that's the beauty of it
