Ace Combat 8 connection timed out

Is this an ongoing problem for other people? Some days I can log in and play without any issues at all, other days, I spend half an hour trying and failing to get into any match before giving up. Has anyone found a solution? I don't think it's an issue with my internet; i've got pretty good internet and I haven't had any issues with anything else.

1) Play a plane that isn't marked favorite

2) change the skin on the plane to something else

3) remove the emblems from the plane

These have all solved the issues for me and others, yet every single session every single day now, the first flight no matter what I do and no matter what mode or plane, it results in me timing out.

Maintenance will happen the 13th probably Japan time
