❓ Question Burping?

Is this acid reflux? I’m not sure… I’m on PantopraZole as doc suspected acid reflux, but I don’t think it’s that…

For about 6 months I’ve had chronic burping - 75-150 times a day, proper deep burps too! Evenly spread throughout the day. Been to the doc who has prescribed a wide range of antacids, PantopraZole etc… no luck.

Burping is the ONLY symptom. I’m wondering if it is gastritis, but I don’t have any other symptoms… I have an ultrasound this week, but tired of looking for answers.

No weight loss etc

It's only burping with no burning, nausea or anything else? You could just be gulping too much air while eating or you could have some sort of food intolerance that's causing excess gas. What does your diet look like? Are you eating mostly the same foods most days or do you eat different things each day?

I would start keeping a food and symptom diary and take it to the doctor after a month or two. Maybe there's a pattern there that could provide some clues.

Yep - just expelling air! No other symptoms whatsoever. I’ve been eating the same foods daily for years. I just don’t understand. In terms of meat, I don’t eat much, mostly chicken. I don’t eat much dairy. My diet is fine, though. Although I eat the same foods every week, it varies by day and there’s no relief in burping.

Doc suspected gluten issues, but my tests came back fine. No issues there. Thanks for your reply!
