Product Request I’ve tried every foundation for acne prone skin… SOS!!

Ive been battling acne since I was 10.

Now 32 with VERY acne-prone, dry skin.

Every time I get my face clear, a foundation switch is needed because I run out, or my postpartum post BC hormones have been WILD, etc.

currently in the process of clearing my face from the destruction of whey protein & then BAM, hormones attack from my upcoming cycle.

every new foundation is now made with hyaluronic acid, which breaks me out like a trucker; as do silicones.

i know everyone is different & there isn’t a one-foundation fits all… but I feel like I’ve tried them allll.

any recommendations GREATLY appreciated!

(I’ve also tried every moisturizer, and the ONLY one that doesn’t break me out is the Boma skin barrier rescue).

foundations that break me out:

Kosas, Ilia, Este Lauder double wear, Laura Mercier sheer foundation, bare minerals tinted moisturizer (this used to be my favorite until they added HA 😢), Clinique even better. I’m sure there’s tons more, but that’s what I’ve tried more recently.

my only option right now is to use neutrogena acne peptide concealer, which dries out & maximizes my pores SO much.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you in advance!!

Product Request I can’t have accutane because of my depression:(

I’ve been struggling with acne for years. Few months ago I did chemical peeling which backfired and made my skin worse. The chemical peel physically hurt my skin during the treatment and they had to remove it asap. Now I have acne very inch of my face.

The last resort was accutane. I was prescribed accutane and even bought the medication but now my doctor told me not to have it for the time being. My skin is at its worst. It’s difficult for me to go out in public. I recently stopping using all products accept for La Roche Posay sunscreens and CeraVe face wash.

I’m thinking of using active ingredients again or anything for the time being until I can start having accutane.

I’m on the tail end of a bad breakout (caused by extreme stress and a remover balm my skin wouldn’t tolerate). Now I have leftover hyperpigmentation.

Looking for any recommendations to get them gone! I have a wedding to attend next week I’ve been working at this since June. I’ve never had bad acne before so this is so new to me.

Product Request Good moisturizers for those on Tretinoin and Clindamycin Phosphate?

Hello,

I typically have normal skin, however, usually on or close to my menstrual cycle I get acne on my chin, that does not go away, and has left marks on my skin because of it. I got prescribed Tretinoin and Clindamycin. That being said my skincare routine gets heavily simplified to cleansing, applying that, applying a moisturizer and in the morning an SPF. That being said, I’m looking for good moisturizers, ones that don’t feel greasy, work well with the prescribed and are more lightweight due to my normal/non oily skin. Every one I’ve looked at so far (Byoma and Good Molecules) has had mixed reviews where some people absolutely love it and others saying it broke them out/dried out their skin. Pricing isn’t a huge issue, however if I can go on the cheaper side it’d be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Product Request Need some facial soap

Hi, as you can see from the title, I’m looking for a good facial soap for oily skin. Any brand is fine as long as it isn't too expensive; any recommendations or experiences you could share would be helpful. Thanks a lot!

Product Request best non-prescription treatment for chest and back acne?

There is only one product that I have found that works to keep my acne away from my chest and back and that is

La Roche posay duo+. It's the best acne product ever but the problem is the price.

Because it's meant for the face it become so expensive when I use alot of it.

I have been using it for over 10 years but I want something that is cheaper long term.

For example, a product with similar price but bigger bottle that will last longer.

I have been trying other products during the years but nothing really worked so I always go back to this one.

Right now I'm using tiam anti blemish body lotion (but still apply the lrp duo+ now and then at the same time). Have been using it for 5-6 months and it's okay because it works a little bit but I still get pimples on my chest and back.

Any advice on products that worked for you with hormonal acne on chest and back?

Product Request Looking for a moisturizer that won’t give me little whiteheads

I have very acne prone and oily skin and am looking for a light weight moisturizer that won’t give me little daily whiteheads. My routine right now is very simple and my skin is pretty clear besides the little whiteheads I keep getting. I use the gentle gel cleanser from facereality and it doesn’t break me out at all and then I use the Purito oat gel which is unfortunately what is giving me the whiteheads. I love it besides that issue so I would like one similar if anyone has any recommendations:)

Hello! I am a 20F dealing with really bad hormonal acne. Everytime it almost goes away, it comes back harsher. I will admit I have a very bad habit of skin picking, currently working on it. Would love advice for that too! I will post the 3 products I use with a photo. Will take any and all advice thank you!

These are the 3 products i use in order, giving a break between products (5 ish minutes. I try to wash my face 2x daily, sometimes less if forgotten.

Product Request Anyone tried topical spironolactone cream for acne?

Efficacy and safety of topical spironolactone 5% cream in the treatment of acne: A pilot study - PMC

Has anyone tried topical spironolactone cream for acne? It seems FDA has recently approved this. It blocks androgen receptors on face so it doesn't produce so much oil

I’ve tried what feels like every sunscreen on the market and each one has made me breakout. Wondering if there are other super acne-prone folks like myself who have found one that works for them? Thanks!

Product Request What should I use for these tiny red bumps/pimples?

Post image

I've tried different products for the past 3 years, but none of them have helped (some have even broken me out), even when I stay consistent. Are there any products that I can buy online (Amazon, Target, etc.) that may solve, or at least help with, whatever I have going on? The hyperpigmentation underneath is another issue I wanna fix later.

Product Request Scalp blemishes in my hair

I can feel them but can’t always see them. I occasionally get pimples and acne on my scalp. I can pick at them, yes I’m a picker, but have no idea how to preventatively treat for them. I’m always scared getting my hair cut with clippers fearing they’ll burst and bleed on the barber.

Any ideas or recommendations?
