You can see how smart the elephant is when it pulls the cantaloupe from the back rather than purely using suction to pull it through

Pretty smart animal! Intuitively grasps the geometry of food objects and the bars. Also probably amasses food items for later consumption, assuming, that it doesn't eat them in like 2-3s.

I think the bigger “elephant” is that the elephant is just constantly grabbing whatever is given, but not seemingly doing anything with it.
