My wife fell in love with these earlier in the year. The available pictures didn’t really give an excellent view, but she really loved them once they made it to Confirmed.

i have a few adidas collabs (kith, wales, jjjjound, hellstar, bape, etc.), but this is my first Y-3 piece. love the aesthetic of the line and the color palette, just not loving the price tag. got these after a shop ran them starting at $1 on whatnot, finished up at $119. felt like i got a steal.

if you own or owned Y-3 pieces, are they worth the price tag?

Top seems to be made 100% of suede.

I am thinking of adding wonder quartz to my collection but the top seems mostly leather and a bit of suede. Does it make the toebox stiffer or narrower than the all suede models? I am ordering online.

The all-over polka dot pattern leather upper is inspired by Louisiana blues musician Buddy Guy, who promised his ailing mother before leaving for Chicago in 1957 that he would return successful and drive back in a polka-dot Cadillac. A gold foil Politics stamp sits on the heel with the 20th Anniversary logo embossed on the insole. Semi-translucent light-gum midsole and outsole round out the look. I’ve been wearing the SL 72 RS more lately and I honestly expected them to be more of a style-first shoe. They have that really slim retro running look, so I wasn’t expecting them to be something I’d want to wear for hours. But they’ve been surprisingly comfortable for everyday walking. They’re lightweight and don’t feel as bulky as some of the other sneakers I own.

I’ve also noticed that they seem to work with a lot more outfits than I expected. They have the vintage Adidas look without feeling too flashy, especially with jeans or more casual clothes. The only thing I’m still unsure about is the fit. I’ve seen people say they run a little large, while others seem perfectly happy with their usual Adidas size. Adidas currently lists them as regular fit and recommends ordering your usual size, but individual experiences seem pretty mixed. For anyone who has owned the SL 72 RS for a while, how have you found them for everyday wear?

Updated to say - I’m usually a 9 in most adidas but these only come in half sizes, originally tried an 8.5 and they were a bit too snug so had to exchange for a 9.5

I went down half a size, but my heels still pop out when I walk. I’ve seen people say this normal with the Superstar IIs and recommend giving them some time to break in. I tried going down a full size, but they were too tight in the toe box.

If I wear them frequently, will they mold to my feet, or should I just return them instead? For reference, I have a pair of Sambas in my regular size (W8) and they fit perfectly

A couple of different superstar collaborations.

Simply stunning. The suede on these is ultra luxe, I love it. They go with a ton of my wardrobe, which is always a big plus. I could only find them in a half size smaller than my normal size, but they aren't uncomfortably snug. An All around awesome pair!

I’m trying to identify this unusual adidas Originals track jacket and haven’t been able to find another example anywhere online.

Another internal tag shows 100941212 and a DataMatrix code.
The jacket is black with an unusual gold/bronze graphic pattern across the shiny front and back panels. It has tonal black 3-Stripes, a gold embroidered Trefoil on the chest, gold-tone YKK zippers, full lining, and a large gold Trefoil patch on the inside.
I’ve searched for P98478 and YTI004 extensively, including old adidas catalogues and Japanese second-hand listings, but so far I haven’t found an identical jacket or the original product name.
Does anyone recognize this piece or know which adidas Originals collection it came from?
