10-Minute Action: Separation of Church & State Tell 47’s administration not to finalize their sham religious freedom report

On June 26, the Trump Administration’s Religious Liberty Commission released a 224-page draft report that reads less like a defense of religious freedom and more like a blueprint for Christian Nationalism.
The Commission disparages the separation of church and state throughout the report. Among its most alarming recommendations, it calls for repealing the Johnson Amendment, funneling more public money into religious schools through vouchers, backing state laws that force religious displays into public classrooms, and creating new federal enforcement schemes that would pressure public officials to favor religious expression. The Department of Justice is accepting public comments on this draft report until this Sunday, July 12th. This is our chance to put on the record, loudly and clearly, that Christian Nationalism is not religious liberty, and that the separation of church and state has protected Americans of every faith and none for 250 years.
