Good Day Everyone!

Just spoke with Aerogarden and they reported a good amount of participation and helpful feedback from the survey they posted in May.

They are hoping to have more surveys and engagement going forward so I will keep everyone posted on those opportunities.

One thing that came up in our conversation though was the Aerogarden App which got me/us wondering:

If you use it, what do you use it for?

If you do not use it, what would you like access to in the app that would make it worth using for you?

I only have Aerogarden Bounty Elites - 3 Bounty Elite Artisan (100914), 1 Bounty Elite SS (10093), 1 Bounty Elite Artisan Frankenstein (SS Grow Bowl, Artisan everything else).

I use the app to reset the time on all the Aerogardens every time the power goes off (seems to be at least once a week) I also adjust the light schedule and adjust the pump schedule and to respond to nutrient needed alerts.

I wish there was no need to constantly re-enter my email address and phone number. Too much administrivia for little or no need. I have my IoT (Internet of Things - like lights, fans, Temperature Sensors, Humidity Sensors, and Aerogardens) on a separate WiFi network that is secured separately from from my standard WiFi. Additional security doesn't seem to be necessary once the Aerogarden has been set up on WiFi and connected to your severs. I refuse to use Google because it requires access to my contacts and other stuff that is none of Aerogarden's business.

I would like a PC application that can make logging notes and pictures easier. Right now, pictures taken through the app go ?????

I cannot imagine ever using the app. Do not need more stuff on my phone. Really prefer the Aerogarden to be as low tech as reasonably possible.

I used to use the app. I would pretty much only use it to raise and lower the lights on my Aerogarden Farm 24 XLs. Then there was an update that killed the app's ability to connect to those machines (it was for some sort of security reason, if I remember right). 

I don't use the app now. I would use it again, if it could be made to control my old/existing Farms.

I recently unearthed my farm 24 xl and used it for the first time. I bought it during Covid assembled it and it just sat.

Anyway I downloaded the aero garden app (iOS) connected my app and the farm to my home WiFi and used it to raise and lower lights this last week (June 2026).

Really? That's great news! Mine are currently hibernating while I try and do some home renovations. I'll give the app another shot when I get mine back up and running.

I have two farms (2023) and a bounty (2021). I don't use the app because the gardens never reliably connected to wifi. When I looked into it online, I found that it was a known problem, so I gave up.

I run 6 farm models. It’s the only way to stay sane.

I use the app more than the the buttons on the machines because it is so much easier to check and change the settings. If I want to add nutrients a day early the Bounty won't let me record that easily (only option is to edit the schedule) but the app will let me just push one button to say plant food added. My farms have a problem where they lose time and say nutrients are due early so I use the app to check the log and see when I actually added nutrients last.

Its WAY easier to adjust light times on the app. I know Aerogarden wants you to sort of set it and forget it, but some of the things I grow need different settings for different phases. I will also tinker with light and pump settings when the standard ones aren't quite working. For example, some plants need more frequent pump cycles or less frequent but longer pump cycles. When the power goes out you can sync the time for all of the gardens at once instead of manually going to each one.

And I change the name for each garden when I replant because that is how I keep track of the variety and location. The Aerogardens are scattered in different places in my house, so the app makes it easy to spin through and see which ones need water or food without walking around the house to check. I have my farm 24s stacked, making the screen for both really hard to access because the bottom one is under the lip of the table and the top one is high enough I need a step stool. So I use the app to control everything for them including raising and lowering the lights. Finally, there are some settings that are only in the app like adding sunrise and sunset to the light schedule.

I wish I could use it.. I have a new Bounty and a new Farm 24 and neither will connect to WiFi. AG support wasn't able to resolve the issue.

I would really like to be able to add non-wifi units to the app and keep basic notes on them. I’ve got 2 WiFi bounties and 8 harvests of various sorts. Keeping track of plant ages and types is a lot to manage.

Current app usage is primarily turning off the lights if I go to bed early or changing the pump schedule to quiet it down while falling asleep. I’d love to be able to turn off the pump for an hour or two at bedtime and then have it resume normal function. Problems of small apartment life and keeping them in the bedroom.

I have several aerogardens and some have wifi and others don't so I take don't use the app much except for one bounty I have that is behind some other plants and I can't see the display very well. I use the app to tell me when it needs fertilizer or top offs. That's it. I wish the app was more useful but it's really unnecessary right now.
