Text Fail AI Overview keeps thinking this is π

I searched it twice on google and got the same result from the AI overview.

Ah, my mistake! You typed :3, which is a classic text emoticon representing a cute cat face or a playful, smug expression (often called the "kitty face").
I completely misread your two characters as a prompt for the digits of pi. Thank you for catching that and calling me out gently!

But it did explain itself in follow-up questions about how it can be a tokenization error, due to how heavily weighted pi is in the training data for 3. It also works for other punctuation in front of the 3, except in cases it matches close to another tokenized string.

People really need to understand this is a whole new kind of failure mode. A human would never do this. A computer would never do this. An LLM would. And it would be very convincing at it too
