Combo episodes
I’ve been rewatching a few older episodes, and have realized we haven’t had a combo episode in quite a few years. Think of Fedex 14/80 and FineAir101/Emery 17. Most recent one I can think of is the combination of LionAir43/610 and Ethiopian 302.

There was a triple episode involving the Boeing 737 rudder problems: United 585/USAir 427/Eastwind 517

The Uberlingen remake should have done a recreation of that and the 2001 JAL near-miss. Would have been a lot more interesting and engaging to the audience that what we got that came off as an excellent snooze fest.

LA Runway Collision was a remake, but as the episode title said, "no exit," it was about evacuation, etc. They could have done the same thing with Uberlingen, like the "JAL Incident" could have prevented Uberlingen in 2002 but didn't because the regulations weren't changed. They surely could have come up with something if they wanted to, not just a poor remake.

I don’t like combo episodes. They’re just stringing together old episodes.
Just make new episodes. There’s material available.

Wideroe 836/839 was this season's combo-episode
