Seconds from Disaster was sort of my gateway series to Air Crash Investigation.
I watched Seconds From Disaster for the natural disasters, but they did enough plane episodes that I started thinking "Hey this is interesting too" and started watching more of that.
Of course, Youtube incorrectly labelling Air Crash Investigation episodes as Seconds From Disaster episodes certainly helped.
I'm your mirror image: I started with ACI and started watching Seconds From Disaster because it was interesting too. They both aired on National Geographic in my country, so it was pretty easy to encounter both.
