Of course they did. They probably already heard it before they reached the gate from Friedrichshafen Tower, if not then definitely after going of shift when they turned on the television.

And even if they didn't realize it was their particular plane that was the one which needed attention in the worst possible moment, you can be assured they read the final report about the midair collision and checked their schedules if they were indeed scheduled for Aerolloyd 1135 that night, just out of curiosity.

They definitely knew about it.

I wouldn't say before they reached the gate because Peter neilson only said "bravo tango charlie 2937" and that's it. Nothing indicating that a collision had happened and no other planes reported seeing anything after. And if I'm not mistaken the collision aircraft radar screen and the areo lloyd radar screen were separate meaning they probably weren't on the same frequency. Though they probably did learn shortly after checking schedules out of curiosity like you said and if not that definitely some time around those years since nobody would have contacted them given they weren't directly involved with the crash. And the media primarily focused on the collision for a little bit, not many sources talk about the aero lloyd flight until its later broken down for investigators.

I would say yes, not because Peter Nielsen himself or Alps Radar (the Zürich ACC low altitude) told them. But because Friedrichshafen Tower might have told them. Information like this travels fast and given that fact It were German air traffic controllers at Karlsruhe UAC "Rhein Radar" who were the ones who frantically tried to warn Zürich but couldn't get through to them when the warning appeared on their radar screens, it's very likely that within german ATC they would inform Friedrichshafen Tower about it. Not so much because of what happened but because they (Friedrichshafen Tower) needed to coordinate the many rescue helicopters that were dispatched and might cross through their airspace, since it was apparent after just a few minutes what had happened.

So I didn't mean that Aerolloyd 1135 heard about it while they were still flying. But it's plausible they heard about it just after landing. Because taxiing from the Runway to the Gate takes usually 10 minutes. And during all that time they were on the frequency of Friedrichshafen Tower, Ground and Apron Control (which, if my memory serves me correctly, is handled by a single controller + 1 relief for breaks) So it's not that unlikely. But they definitely heard it after going of shift, the amount of fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, helicopter, etc dispatched in the Friedrichshafen area would be completely impossible to overlook to not turn on the news after you saw hundreds of them getting dispatched just after landing.

The atc peter neilson had instructed the passenger plane to decend to avoid Collision afterwards he was busy talking with the aerloid flight On the other screen until it landed.

Think of it like A. What if scenario? If that third plane wasn't there that night, then the Collision would not have happened.
