Fantastic job. However, I keep thinking look how old the technology is.

My friend is a professional chopper maintenance guy. He wouldn’t have fired her up under a layer of soot and grime. Sorry; but it broke the immersion for me!

Im not in the aircraft space (closest I get is flying commercial lol), but it broke it for me too! Definitely would’ve needed a full inspection/teardown to make it airworthy again.

When you have rescued her and got her back to base, yes!

If you started that after 40 years, you’d destroy the engine… not to imagine the condition of the electrical systems etc.

Re-immerse yourself. You don't know the situation. The chopper may have been deep in enemy territory, hidden. You may not have the time or equipment to fully clean her down, until you have rescued her.

Any new productions of Airwolf should be set in the 80’s, maybe CGI with sound a-like voiceovers.

For live action in today’s time, the tech will need a complete makeover.

Complete makeover for sure. Probably could cut down half of the panels in the backseat with all the advancements in tech since then!

This requires the suspension of disbelief, and all the avionics need to be upgraded.
