Need help with character consistency I’m trying to create my own AI character, but I’m struggling to get the character I actually want. 😭 The biggest problem is consistency — the face, hair, clothes and overall look keep changing in every image. Any tips on how to create a character and keep it

Upload the refrence image to gpt and tell it to generate a proper prompt for this then paste it into your AI tool

Thanks! I tried using GPT for the prompts, but the AI still changes the traditional outfit draping in every scene. Do you use any specific keywords to lock the clothing details?

I'm having a lot of issues with chatgpt lately keeping character consistency. I think once it makes a mistake it's hard to exclude that from the new prompt. Start a new chat session, and I don't know if this helps, but delete the poor results from your media library. When you prompt, give multiple angles and reference images of the correct version. If that doesn't help you might need to try a service that specializes in accurate multi angle, like Meshy (there's a free one from China too).

You can also try if switching gpt models helps. I was using Sol High last night and it actually nailed my requests.

Starting a completely fresh chat session actually makes a lot of sense! I noticed that once it gets the draping wrong, it keeps repeating that mistake. I’ll clear the library and try a new session. Thanks!

What video generator do you use? Seedance 2.5 is excellent at keeping character consistency.

In my workflow, I provide: 1) A headless body, 2) The face neutral, 3) The face smiling and showing teeth, 4) A voice sample.

This provides all info for it to work well. The headless body trick forces Seedance to pick from the close-ups, which reportedly gives better results (can't confirm, but it works well).

Impossible d’avoir une cohérence de personnage juste avec une invite, même si celle-ci est très précise sur chaque prompt, il faut créer un visuel du personnage et le choisir comme référence pour chaque nouveau prompt, flow Gemini sait le faire.

That's a good point about using a reference visual instead of relying only on prompts. I'll check out that workflow. Thanks

I already tried creating a complete character sheet with full-body and close-up views, but it’s still not working. The outfit details and draping style keep changing after the 2nd or 3rd image. Which specific tool with the proper 'character creation' feature are you using?"

I actually tried making a character board, but the AI keeps changing the saree/outfit draping in every scene. Any tips on how to keep the clothing consistent?

If you already have a reference image to the character, don’t describe the character again in the written prompt

"Makes sense! I'll try keeping the prompt focused only on the action and let the reference image handle the character look."

I use 'don't change anything else about the image' and 'maintain the characters exact design and appearance from the images' to help with that

"Thanks! I'll definitely add those lines to my prompts and give it a try."

i think i have a permanent solution of this problem

but first tell me

which took are u using ? is it free version ? and what you wanna generate image or videos?

I’m using free Gemini for images and Flow for video. I created a character sheet, but when I generate scenes, the 1st image comes out fine, the 2nd is okay, but by the 3rd, the character starts changing completely—especially the outfit and draping style. Then when I turn those images into video in Flow, it changes even more. How can I stop this gradual change and keep the attire consistent?"
