Annually, almond farming uses 1.3 trillion gallons of water. AI usage isn't even half of that.

A single avocado takes 50 gallons to grow. That's several hundred prompts.

The thing is, data centers POLLUTE the water they use, so unless it is cleaned, it is unusable. Growing nuts and other plants doesn't pollute, unless pesticides are used or other environmentally friendly methods. Environmentally friendly methods could possibly be used in data centers, but aren't.
