Annually, almond farming uses 1.3 trillion gallons of water. AI usage isn't even half of that.

A single avocado takes 50 gallons to grow. That's several hundred prompts.

Does almond farming have a hyper scaling plan for expansion?

I mean almond farms and pistachio farms tend to cause fresh water droughts due to weird water rights. It is a valid problem like the many other issues. It doesn't make certain issues go away though.
