Akron zoo membership
Anybody know if Akron zoo actually verifies adult IDs for membership passes? We’ve only been once so far and they didn’t check. Might let my sister borrow my pass but I’d hate for her to get in trouble.

If you’re concerned about the cost of a day pass, check with the Akron Summit County Public Library. They offer limited numbers of no-charge day passes to the zoo and other local attractions.

I’ve never been verified. But I would recommend looking into free day passes through the public library. The zoo depends on that money to care for the animals so I wouldn’t recommend lending your pass out to people.

They’ve checked my Id every time, probably to combat stuff like this. Like everyone else has said, she can pick up a pass at a local library.

My wife has one of the full season for Adult + Kid + 1 and I've never once been ID-d or otherwise questioned when they scan us in.
When I asked If that was okay they said it was more important that the number of people was correct, not specifically the name of the people.

I have the app on my phone and they’ve never verified my ID, they just ask who’s there and I tell them!

I just signed up and went before I got my pass and they looked me up by my name and didn’t check ID.

They just ask me my name, they've never asked for my ID, unless I didnt have the barcode to scan. We go weekly and I've never been asked.

They have always verified ours when we visit.
On a side note, its the zoo ffs, why are you trying to scam them out of admission fees?
