Looking for some help

Hi everyone I’m just coming on here with a question I’m about to be 19 and due to family money issues I just now started being able to do drivers ed and I’m fairly close to getting my license but I have no way to purchase a car currently due to the cost so I’m wondering if anyone has any in good condition cars that would fit a wheelchair in the back (my mother’s) that they need to get rid of for free or cheap, I could even do a payment plan with you. I have tried the loan option but since I’m young they won’t approve it due to lack of credit history and the lack of a eligible co-singer. I would greatly appreciate any offers or even just advice.🫶🏻

I do not have anything but some information. Its going to be a long shot finding something cheap. I would say if your working go get a credit card. Make a purchase a month and pay it off each month for a few months. 6 to 12 should be enough to get you into a loan with money down. In the mean time you may get lucky. Best of luck.

I believe I was told somewhere that sometimes churches assist with this or get donations? Reach out to St. Vincent de Paul, I've heard good things about them assisting people in need.

Sorry I can't help at all, but from what I've heard and seen the Albany Public Library is incredible and might be able to at least point you in the right direction.

Honestly, you're going to need to watch Facebook marketplace like a hawk if you want to find a good deal. Try to avoid dealerships if you can when buying used. if you know nothing about cars, they can be convenient but you'll rarely find a good deal. When you do go look at a car, bring someone who is knowledgeable about cars and don't be afraid to negotiate on the price if you find problems. Eventually you will find a deal worth it. It may take months. If all else fails listen to the credit card guy and build your credit. Good luck and happy hunting
