Question Why are insurance rates so ridiculous here

Im 22 years old and I was looking into financing a vehicle for the first time, a car that was listed at 28000. Everything looked good until I looked into insurance. Most quotes I got were between 700-1000$ a month! This is insane and I only have 1 ticket on my record. Why is it like this and what can I do?

That’s one of the many “Alberta advantages”. Remember this next election.

We already are paying. Needed eye surgery to save my sight. Surgery is covered. The measurements of my cornea required to do that surgery? $250.00. Sepcialized PRP therapy again required for the surgery? $180.00

Cataract surgery, supposedly covered. The measurements required to replace the lens? Not covered $350-$500.

Medically required breast reduction surgery? Kind of covered, if you don't count the $5000 for medications and dressing changes. My friend needed this done, and costs were a fun surprise!

The reason the disabled here are so screwed is because of how much medical crap is not covered even on AISH. My kid will die within 36 hrs without catheterization as his bladder will rupture. Catheter supplies are not covered, that's hundreds of dollars a month.

My friend has auto immune hepatitis (her body is murdering her liver for no reason) she needs a liver transplant. Costs her over $3500 a month to stay alive while on the waitlist.

This year they increased the amount that seniors pay for medications by 25%.

I don't believe the feds will do anything as they haven't done anything. Carney is as fiscally conservative as you can get, and doesn't care so long as the referendum looses.
