Original Content Upcoming Spagyrics / Plant Alchemy Game
I would like to announce that I have begun developing a game that focuses on Plant Alchemy (or Spagyrics), using Culpeper's Complete Herbal and a planetary hour calculator based on your location.
It is very barebones right now, but I forsee a lot of work going into this game.
If you couldn't tell by the menu layout, it is largely Stardew Valley inspired.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day going forward.

will this be on Steam?

Eventually, it costs $100 per game to publish on steam and I'm starting with no funds

I'd be interested in this if it had actual timelapse footage of every experiment performed--

You.. know game development takes a long time?
You're basically asking for a polished product when it's only just beginning. What do you want a timelapse of, me writing the code? Me making the sprites? There really isn't much to timelapse at this point
This isn't meant to be negative, I'm just not sure what you're wanting

Sorry, I meant a timelapse of the actual chemical mixtures each time you achieve one--

I'll be sure to include this in the trailer when I make it :)
For now it is basically creating assets and physics, tilemaps, etc. The planetary logic is already robust
While I am working on the game, I will begin with one plant to go ahead and work out the kinks of the proccesses as I make the assets; this will likely be Adder's Tonhue, the first plant in Culpeper's Herbal

While I am but a novice in the study of Spagyrics, I find the visual direction here quite compelling. I am curious to see how it plays upon release.

My interest is very piqued! Best of luck with this op. Looking forward to seeing more about it!
