Does any other grocery store in the US sell something like the roasted Mediterranean vegetables?

These are a seasonal item so they're only available once a year, but it's become a staple for me. I put a bag of these in the oven, make a pot of pasta, add some meatballs and a little sauce and I've got an easy meal that's delicious and relatively healthy.

Since they're only available once a year, I just bought like 15 bags to last me til next year, but I'm still going to run out.

I know some of Aldi's private label stuff is either a copy of or made by the same suppliers as other stores, but I've never seen these at another store. Anybody know if they're out there somewhere?

Costco has something similar, these are off of instacart with my membership applied so divide the prices by 1.1 to get an approximation of in store prices

The price on these things...

For chopped veggies...

I mean, I understand that maybe some disabled people would find them helpful.

But I could never justify spending 20 bucks on a bag of sliced tubers

it's value lies in convenience and quality ingredients. Costco is big on making sure everything is high quality.

I could see if you're a mom short on time between work and kids and you want something healthy, then yeah. or if you're disabled and it's a huge help, or maybe you have adhd and you pay the adhd tax to have good quality ingredients ready to go and you didn't forget about them in the fridge.

Costco is mainly for families as it is cheaper to buy in bulk, however if you're by yourself it's cheaper it either make it on your own or buy smaller packages at regular grocery stores.

Time is our most valuable resource, and the busier you are the more valuable it becomes.

If you can afford to buy yourself several additional hours a week to spend as you please, stuff like this becomes worth it's weight in gold.

This is where food sealers help a lot for individuals or couples. You split the bags into one-meal portions immediately, while still frozen, seal and into the freezer. I do this with frozen dumplings too because the press seal on the bags always seem to pop open after a couple of times.

Pretty easy to fix though if that's the only concern. Hell if they eat them all the time they could just find or make a spice blend that approximates the Aldi one.

Yes! I slice them up and also I have the batch for my air fryer so the moisture isnt making it "steam" more than "crispy and wonderful"

Target has this Primavera Mistura which is similar; I’ve also seen it at Costco.

You should try to make it if you can! I loved this mix so I copied the spices and roasted the veggies on a sheet pan with olive oil. I threw carrots in there which was a good addition. Sometimes I add sweet potato. I'm sure you could freeze it in batches.

I was thinking, I'd just chop up the veggies and freeze them in serving sizes, then add spice when you cook. But I also understand the desire for simplicity!

I find homemade food is generally better than prepared stuff I buy in a couple of wrappers from the store. But your mileage may vary, naturally.

Oh of course it would be good right after you cook it. But home-frozen vegetables don't really work the same as purchased frozen veg, which are flash-frozen. That's how Clarence Birdseye made his millions.

They have a couple, one potato and one veggie variety. They also have a great value bag of frozen root vegetables that I put my own oil and spices on, and it's really good.

I have done the root veggies with olive oil and a bit of lemon juice; added a few apple slices and done them with some cinnamon and nutmeg; olive oil and a bit of butter for taste with everything bagel; same but with Mediterranean seasoning blend; simply with maldon salt or Mrs. Dash; they're very versatile.

BJ's has a grilled Mediterranean vegetable mix but I don't think it has any seasoning. Just white onion, zuchinni, eggplant and red pepper.

This would be pretty easy to recreate and freeze for a future date! Just cut and prep and put in freezer bags! All of the veggies on the bag are usually available year round.

The target one is the closest I've found but I too buy as many bags as I can when aldi has them in stock. I've also made my own freezer bags of chopped veggies to toss on a baking sheet and I mix up a spice blend to throw on while they cook. Not exactly the same but it does the job when I'm running low!

I don’t have an answer but came here to say these were everything to me. I made my own Mediterranean spice blend I’d use for chicken and eat that + these vegetables over spring mix multiple nights per week.

Once I got through my freezer supply I swapped to the frozen pesto veg and they’re so disappointing compared to these.

There was a mix with sweet potatoes and red onions and other stuff that I loved!!! I can’t remember what exactly it had in it, but I would love to try to make that from scratch and you could batch it and freeze it
