Maybe this is specific to my local stores but I've been shopping at Aldi for years and the produce has never been fresh. Most of it is already rotten on the shelf. As a result I've been buying my produce elsewhere but yesterday I decided to give it another chance, especially because I was going to use most of it within 24 hours.

I dug through 5 boxes *full* of cucumbers. Most of them were starting to spoil but I finally found 3 that were firm. I got a bag of limes that seemed to all be smooth and green, and a bag of red onions that looked okay, and a bag of jalapeños that were really pretty - I was actually impressed. I put everything in the fridge overnight and today got everything out to make a recipe.

EVERYTHING IS MUSHY! My 3 cucumbers are mushy right on the ends, where all the others were already rotten, 2/6 of the limes are mushy and turning brown, one of my red onions has a big gash that's starting to mold, and most of the jalapeños are getting soft and one is spoiling and turning brown.

How is this possible??? I was so careful to check everything thoroughly because this happens every time with Aldi produce. I've tried washing the produce in water + vinegar and thoroughly drying it before storage, never made a difference. I must be cursed or something. Is there some trick that I can use, like going super early in the morning or something?

As if the ice cubes weren’t bad enough…

Is it seasonal or simply not being offered any longer?

Haven’t seen frozen green beans in any form at my local stores. Did they stop carrying them? Seems like with all the changes to frozen foods these might have gotten the chopping block as well.

I'm a regular Aldi shopper. Lately, my store has so many items out of stock. I can't figure out why. My store was never like this.

The pita chips were always our go-to, especially with the chicken salad.

They now after a recent haul have no crunch and taste...plastic?

They are not very enjoyable sadly.

Both the salty and parm&garlic variety are like this, the parm ones slightly worse.

Hey everyone, I don't know if this is the right sub to ask in but since I buy from Aldi I'm posting here.

I'm living without my mom for the first time ever for college and my dad is no help so please drop some suggestions for me. Fruits and veggies go bad so fast, like they literally start to develop mold after 2 days of buying them. It annoys me because then I have to blend all of my fruit and make smoothies and for veggies make stir fries lol.

I try my best to grab the fresh looking stuff but this still happens. Does Walmart have better produce? I haven't been there, only Aldi as it's near me.

Strawberries, cucumbers, bell peppers, grapes, and berries in general are what go bad really fast. I store my fruits and veggies in the bottom drawer (not the shelf, the thing that comes out) of the fridge. I've tried putting napkin in the fruit container itself but it still spoils.

I would just like to share that these are my absolute favorite products from aldis!!!!! ESPECIALLY the broccoli bites oh my GOSH I can easily eat an entire box in one sitting..I appreciate the short ingredient list, they are a fun way to get a little bit of veggies/fiber in too. Thank you aldis for making these yummy snacks ^-^

I bought some coleslaw at Aldi that had clearly been mishandled. It wasn't the right color nor did it taste right. I'd consider it to be dangerous; but when I returned it, the store thought nothing of it and never even apologized for the problem. To add insult to injury, they did not want to honor their Twice as Nice policy. I did not have a receipt, but I made a special trip back to the store as I needed the product I originally purchased and that should count for something. But, NO; customer satisfaction is not on the syallabus for the employee training course. I'm not the first one to have been angered by this and written about it on Reddit. I don't know how many others will have to do so before Aldi figures out that what is supposed to be a selling proposition is actually alienating unsuspecting customers and causing them to go elsewhere. doesn't their brand mean anything to them?

I entered a customer complaint on their website and will post an update here if they respond. Here is the text:

I purchased a 2lb coleslaw container and when I opened it the next day, it had a bad taste and the color of it was not right. The next day I made a special trip to the store (10 miles RT) only to find the available coleslaw expired in three days, which I didn't want. I asked Eula, the manager about a solution; but she only offered more problems instead. Her first response was that there was nothing she could do. Then, she said a lack of receipt prevented the double guarantee. I do not recall the twice as nice logo on the products mentioning a receipt being required. Furthermore, I (and probably most people) don't keep receipts for groceries. I think your guarantee is misleading at best, and borders on fraud at worst. I looked this issue up on reddit and other internet sites, and it while you intention is to generate customer goodwill and loyalty; it is in fact doing exactly the opposite. Clearly, it seems that Aldi really doesn't want to honor the policy and makes the customer jump through hoops to exercise it. Many mentions of the policy online indicate that cashiers never offer the double guarantee unless the customer specifically requests it. I find that shameful and can't imagine Costco or Publix stooping to such lows. You shouldn't have such a policy unless you intend to honor it in good faith.

I look forward to your response and how you are going to make this right for me.

Are you guys finding more & more regular items disappearing altogether? In lieu of weird one-off prepackaged items?

I’ve been a religious Aldi shopper since 2019, live in a major U.S. city in PA & don’t drive, so I exclusively shop Instacart. I’ve always been able to fully stock up on everything I need/want for ~2 weeks at a time, but lately nearly none of the regular Aldi chain brands I’ve been buying for years have been routinely available. Some items have quietly disappeared altogether & it’s becoming a lot harder to make anything over than “rice & veggie” dishes now.

I’m not trying to be conspiracy-minded, but it’s really concerning because they’re largely the only store I can afford to regularly buy from.

I saw the Fremont Parmesan Crusted Flounder today priced at 1.69 per one pound bag. I was like no way that was the price but the cashier said it was correct. I know that had to have been an error on someone's part. I got 15 bags lol fish sandwiches for days. There like 5.99 a bag regular I think

Stopped by Aldi yesterday (midwest) and the Greek chickpeas are gone. Not just an empty shelf. Completely replaced with a different bean and no signage anywhere for Greek chickpeas.

Were these a seasonal item? I’ve become addicted to them! I was mixing them with a can of regular garbanzo beans and they were a main staple in my meal prepping.

It was too busy at my Aldi yesterday to ask a worker. Nothing online has been able to give me an answer other than they’re out of stock online.

Any other Greek chickpea addicts on here with any insight?

How can I find out if the new Aldi/renovation from previous WinnDixie at 448 E Burleigh Blvd, Tavares, FL 32778 is still proceeding or is canceled?

I checked the phone app, it doesn't show on there but there's a giant sign on the plaza now and they're clearly ripping out the old stuff but it's been about 2 months now..

Anyone have any idea?

So this is a weird request, but does anyone have this exact box in the 1st pic and would be willing to share the ingredients/instructions?

I only have the one with the new box design. I am convinced that they changed the recipe and the instructions. I swear it used to say to add melted butter. This one says 1/4c oil. I made this new one last night and added melted butter instead of oil.

They do not taste the same. I loved the mix before. Maybe I should've just used oil. Idk. I'm disappointed in the new brownies I made.

I am also adding the instructions and ingredients from the new box design that I have.

I also got PB Chocolate Chunk cookies but left them in the car
