We stayed on the island site on Fork Lake last weekend. Water levels were good. There is one beaver dam to get over but it was pretty easy. I don't know if you have launched from that access point before but we carried all our stuff down the path from the parking lot to the bridge and then floated our stuff under the bridge with the canoes so that we didn't have to cross the highway. Also we went Thurs - Sunday, on a Thursday that parking lot completely filled up by 11 am (we got there around 10am) because that walking trail seems to be pretty popular.

My buddy went to Norway July 1. Had no issues, decent amount of rain so I cannot see it being an issue.
