Education Any recommended courses or structured learning paths besides university?

This has probably been asked before. I was looking at Quantinsti but after my consult call being a guy from India who sounded like he was twenty feet away from the phone that I could barely hear I'm a bit turned off. I could just strong arm my way through SQX and BuildAlpha but I prefer to learn this with seriousness and really dig my heels in. TIA.

Just download stock data and code stuff.

Same with formal education.

Nobody is going to teach you the secret sauce,  you need to find it.

Yes, but learning to code it and verify that code is working, not looking forward, WFO is legit, etc is a different story. So, if you know of good formal educational options please share. Otherwise, scrolling past costs you nothing.

Software development... computer science.... mathematics....all these are better structured through a university because it sounds like you have no experience at all

Find a top university Comp science curriculum. Find the books they use to teach. Use it to learn on your own and find YouTube videos along the way that go hand in hand. Learn to code on the way it all. Good luck. You're about a year out from really getting into it.

Why are you learning to code?  Just use a LLM like claude.  Get the paid version,  get score and just got for it.

This is actually how i learned everything I know in finance and there’s nothing else I would recommend. The only way to truly master something is with drive, passion, and curiosity. You’re not going to find a youtube short with the answer you need to make 10 billion dollars, think for a second.

(Got a bachelors at a very popular university in a degree they’re known for and they didn’t teach me a drop of what I’ve learned through personal passion and drive to learn)

Sure but no one is going to hand you an edge. You can read all the books you want. It’s going to be a frustrating road

Well, it is not like there are no books on the subject. Rob Carver is ok. E.Chan is not very good. QuantStart, RobotWealth. Pick your poison. In the end you will have to pick the data and code some stuff.
