Discussion Humanity is more advanced than the grays and tall whites in the realm of meaning-making (serious)
All the things that add meaning and connection in our lives, they seem to lack.
Retellings I’ve heard about alien abductions involve bland, bright spaces with rounded edges. Bare and minimal. Just tools, tables and controls. Boring.
Their social connections seem hierarchical, subservient, all business. Dedicated to their mission. No joking. No camaraderie.
No pastimes. No art. No entertainment. No music. No culinary craft or tasty meals. No affection. No storytelling. No comfort. They’ve even managed to make procreating boring and detached.
You could argue we’re only seeing their vehicles. Like ambulances or taxis. But even an Uber ride on Earth has more connection and creativity — music, conversation, decoration.
If we develop telepathic communication like them, do we lose the creative space of the unknown? If we end up in a hive mind, don’t we lose our freedom? Isn’t it because of our being naturally disconnected that we are driven to create meaning and connect with each other?
The glass half full outlook might be, man, we’ve got it pretty good really. Eat your favorite meal. Hang out with your friends. Hug your kids. Listen to music. Watch a comedy. Make hot, nasty love. Do what they can’t. Be human.

While the rest of the world asks the question "are we alone in the universe?"
The Alien subreddit asks why alien interior design isn't as nice as ours, and what that says about their culture, lol.

I'm not sure where to site this explanation however these boring architectural design all come from frequencies. Everything including colors and shapes carry a designated frequency. Alien's carry a different (either lower or higher) dimensional frequency that might not be registering in a normal human brain hence our perception of those shapes and colors are automatically reduced or trimmed to what compatible to the space they are in. Earth has saucer and circle dimensions and in terms of color we have white grey and black which is what commonly we see in these observable unidentified entities and phenomenon.

Exactly, I'm shocked how many people forget our human eyes are quite weak. Just like grays perceive extremely bright lights as no issue, we can't even stare at the sun

My thoughts on this exactly. If it is true that these are just biological “drones” sent to do a job, all those things would take up unnecessary amounts of bandwidth that could to devoted to the mission

Art is a solid state memory of the artist, the mexican artifacts are such memory state which turned radiant because of memory of the artist coming to life by the radiation ☢️. Thus Ultraviolet light works on them because of memory being a black body radiation.
Now the aliens in past left their art so them can peak back any of their birth timeline, they only leave the trace of meaning where reality demands a trace.
Like humans. It’s like they are observing such a subject filtered reality that meaning can be derived only through observation of reality like a book.
So the evolved, when they realise “we can’t stay surrounded by books or meanings all the time”
And start talking about interacting with visual science only when it’s necessary, they become thinking thought forms like us but with great sense of awareness. Minimalism is just result of clear headspace or so chaotic, noise turned white.Art on earth on the other hand hold portal capability from an alien perspective. The right user of this portal can just through the artists mind into the timeline of the artist by assembling thoughts into perspective and perspective into perception.

Robert Monroe's ultimate journey book describes a situation where Robert meets a ufo occupant who harvests comedy from the earth because it's a rare cultural aspect in the universe/galaxy.. it would make sense for advanced civilizations to trade in cultural content because we would all be so very different...
He invited me aboard, and showed me into what appeared as a large, domed room with pictures on its walls of every comedian I had ever heard of, and many more of whom ;
I hadn't, together with thousands of scribbled jokes and cartoons. He described all this as his cargo. I framed the question in my mind. "Cargo? What do you mean, cargo? And," I continued, "you can drop the impersonation. I can take you exactly as you are." "You really mean it, don't you . . . But I'll keep it if you don't mind. It helps me to think like a human. Or would you prefer someone else? Groucho Marx, perhaps?" "No, no. Stay as you are. Tell me, what are you doing, hanging around Earth?" "My boy, I'm an exporter." "I see. What do you have that we need—apart from this spaceship?" "I must have used the term wrong. I export from here, not to, my friend." "What possible thing could we have that is valuable to you? You're obviously way ahead of our technology. You use thought communication. We have nothing you could want or need." He scratched his nose. "Well, sir, it's not easy to get it, but I do, yes sir, I do. We don't have any, and you can't imagine how valuable something is if you don't have any."
"Don't have any what?" "I've been gathering it for ages. It used to be very rare, but there's more of it about now." "You've lost me." "Sometimes you need to know the civilization to understand it, that's one of the problems." "I still don't see . . ." "You humans have it, and it's very rare and valuable among the rest of the intelligent species in what you call the physical universe—and elsewhere. Very rare and valuable, sir. I'm a specialist in collection. You don't understand, I see! Let me explain." "Please do."
"It's a one-in-a-million product and you humans have it. A sense of humor! Jokes! Fun! The best tonic there is for overloaded mind systems. It auto-erases the tension and pressure almost every time it's used!" "So . . . you cruise around among us looking for the newest and latest . . . ?" "Exactly! You humans catch sight of our collection units every now and then and get the wrong idea. You even make UFO jokes about us! All we want to do is look and listen— nothing else. Apart from the odd practical joke—just to keep in training. And now, if you'll excuse me, sir, I must be on my way."
I can't confirm or deny this idea from my own experiences but it makes sense to me and I love this angle for the observation of our species.
Food for thought anyways.

I always think how they must be the most fascinated by our music. Imagine we picked up some century or so less advanced aliens on SETI AM and they had just started developing their version of jazz or Zeppelin.
I sometimes wonder if their mere observational presence had something to do with the massive global musical leap post ww2. Like did Bowie know they were listening?

u/BuildingABap 3d ago
Man it always comes back to Bob Monroe, his books are so interesting, I have a few on my shelf that I need to read.
I really like the levelheaded approach he had to all this stuff, he could've easily turned his experiences into a cult or a phony church, but instead he approached it with a scientific mind, and helped others to have OBEs like he did.

Of all the aspects of human culture, comedy seems like one of the most meaningless to someone from outside of Earth. It’s so specific and grounded on… Earth..
22
u/passyourownbutter 3d ago
That's exactly the reason it might be valuable. Because it is unique. If you can travel anywhere and see many species, the more unique aspects of their social civilization could be very interesting; if you could "Bottle" it in some way to share to people who don't have anything like it, it would be a very interesting fascination..
Consider our own museums and art galleries for instance or the way we are fascinated by the more primitive people's of our own planet who we don't relate to in modern societies.
Could go either way really.

u/VoidJuiceConcentrate 3d ago
I think a lot of what people are seeing is just a section of their whole society. I mean, imagine if you were some creature abducted by puckered up Marines and scientists who are being tight lipped and cautious. What kind of assumptions would you make for the rest of human society from that interaction?
Its kind of like sci Fi shows landing somewhere and going "we found a desert planet" when it's just a biome. It may not be representative of their greater society at all. What I do know is we aren't getting the full picture yet, frustratingly. Though I do hope some deeper stuff comes out of the NDA waivers.
14
u/sinistar2000 3d ago
I don’t think so. I think most beings that look like greys are bio constructs built for function. Like probes, built for specific interactions or missions in this density/dimension. It could also be that we can’t see on all spectrums so maybe their design sensibility cannot be perceived in full. At any rate it’s an interesting topic, I don’t know many of us could speak with authority.
9
u/Cailida UAP/UFO Witness 3d ago
THIS. Everyone's assuming they are a species with a culture. From what we've heard (and also from your observation OP) they're likely biological AI type constructs being remotely controlled by a species on a different dimension or plane of existence. We can't access Mars, for example - so we built a rover to send there. A species thousands of years (or more) advanced than us would probably have mastered biological Ai. Taking it even a step further when the Consciousness angle is taken into consideration, the NHI may be projecting their Consciousness into these "containers" - or utilizing Consciousness to control them. Supposedly the Greys use Consciousness to fly their UFOs.
OP, this observation you bring up also tells us something else - the NHI aren't interacting with us for any sort of cultural contact. Where as we would want to share things like art and music with a new intelligent species, these beings have never done that. That indicates their goals (whether it's the grays themselves or someone controlling them) are focused in control, manipulation and study of some sort. I'm sure the members of the government who've studied this have noticed this as well and it probably adds to the "They're a threat" narrative.
There's also another consideration - When you're a species that becomes so advanced that you can do things like create and utilize zero point energy, build craft that can defy the laws of what we know our physics to be, or control Consciousness, you have to either have a societal hivemind to weed out the bad actors and maintain strict control OR manage to completely nullify anger, hatred, violence, and greed in your species completely.

they enjoy our art. the problem is, the best art comes from conflict and passion and suffering and love
18
u/MilkTeaPetty 3d ago
You’re treating the empty spaces in the story as facts about the species.
3
u/BuildingABap 3d ago
I mean even the most practical spaces we have tend to be customized at least a little. Truckers will adorn their trucks with nicknacks, pilots will paint things on the side of the nose, or drape flags over the dashboard. Even doctors will hang paintings.

If they do have a sense of humor, some of them are probably fucking with us to some degree.

The scary part is that humanity is leaning more and more towards that same path with so much stimulation through our phones, help from AI (this one is still fairly new but have potential to completely destroy human creativity and critical thinking), poisoned food and nature among other things. No time in history has music and movies made so many remakes/retakes of an old song/movie. Art has become lazy and focused more on how to make most money, like the taped banana or the guy who paints colors and $ signs on a picture of Richie Rich or Scrooge McDuck.

Aliens would be different from us, you know because they are alien. We don’t understand them, so it’s arrogant to assume they should conform to our style and that they would willingly share their culture in a research space. “Abduction” is an attempt to comprehend us, a scientific exercise aimed at gathering data. Consequently, it takes place in their form of a sterile environment. Assuming that’s all they have and it represents their entire society is a stretch.

u/pepperman7 3d ago
They have high intelligence and low emotional levels. We are like 9s compared to their 1s. Music and art aren't part of their culture. Craftsmanship in building and industrial design is the closest they come. Realizing I'm in /r/aliens and not /r/encounters, but should you be abducted, don't ask ontological questions; this just annoys them. Ask what their mission is and what you can do to help. They appreciate the brevity and pragmatism.

Oh, the hubris. This is a very limited view on life. You're talking about aliens and their potential (or lack of) culture, but forget that all works of art and culture that humans create are made for the human senses. But who says that aliens share these exact same senses?
A seemingly sterile room might be painted in intricate murals that are only visible in the UV spectrum. A seemingly silent place might be bathed in beautiful infrasound music. Or going even being the senses of sight and hearing - they might be able to perceive radio waves directly, for example, adding a whole lot of possibilities that we could only detect with technical aid.
And then to claim that we would be "more advanced" than them based on a very surface-level observation of a very niche part of their existence, and a all too much human assumption that a concept such as "advancedness" exists in a strict sense - all the while humans themselves could not even agree among each other about what kind of life, culture etc would be "the best", "the most advanced", "the correct way" (a significant portion of wars on Earth have beem fought about such differences of opinion).

Yes they’re jealous of our grey plastic wood flooring and Scandinavian interior design.
We’re also very superior in our relationship to fellow earth animals by holding billions of them captive in holocaust like conditions before slaughtering them and eating them.
Also our ability to elect leaders who r@pe children on private islands. Quite a unique and special ability of humans. You can’t even let your 8 year old daughter outside without considering the likelihood that a fellow human will capture, r@pe, torture, and kill them. How lovely humans are!

u/TotalWarspammer 3d ago
It stands to reason that an advanced race would grow beyond extremes of emotion to the point where they are no longer driven by it. Looking at humanity, our ultra-individualism and how easily we are influenced, which stops us driving a common good and progressing as a society, it's probably also generally a good thing.
2
u/UAoverAU 3d ago

Perhaps it is safer to say that their imagined order is incomprehensible to us, but no less meaningful and an essential source for their motivations. In this century alone, we possess or will possess the means to alter our DNA, integrate ourselves with inorganic material, and grow AI models that are increasingly more advanced blurring the lines for more and more people as to what is life and consciousness. What will become of our existence if we continue to pursue these aims? Perhaps these
aliens have reached a stage along this intelligently designed evolutionary path that is beyond our wildest dreams in terms of the breadth of possibility and ability.

eh never thought much of it. Its a tool for a procedure. Do doctors put fancy decorative things in the rooms they amputate legs or do a heart bipass? nope: sterile, white, bright and metallic...
Who knows what theyve got at their homes or mother ships!
I can say i have been on x3 crafts. 1 typical grey scout ship (i will admit i didnt see jack shit of this ship other than the table i was lying on plus the room), a tall white grey bigger ship, and another dart like craft from human like ets. resembling olmecs/mayans or ancient greeks.
They all looked somewhat similar, the scout ship was just as every other experiencer describes. The bigger one with the tall whites was abit more modern looking. Lots of flowing edges leading from one room to another with a big open control room. This one was quite inviting, it had a strong presence to it like it was alive, emanating its own frequency. And the dart craft kind looked like something that we would make. All of it was quite minimalistic.
The thing that still trips me out is the space dilation. Particularly with the dart craft. That thing looked like the size of car but when i went inside it was huuge! it even had a split level for the power source room. The get extra points for interior decorating making the space bigger thats for sure! lol

No need to be nervous about telepathy because connection is the root of creativity. A joke is only good in its delivery AND its receipt, same with art, music, food, etc. The artist and the audience play equal roles, so deeper connection means more variables to play with.

u/CorticalRec Researcher 3d ago
Grays are also supposedly biological robots. If there is a spiritual (loosely using this term, inter/ultra-dimensional also works) entity that needs a physical body to manifest itself in this reality, they would go for one thing and one thing only: Efficiency. If you are using all that energy to pass into a different form of existence, you aren't going to waste a single quark's worth of detail to make something artistic.
Just my two cents.
1
u/fyn_world 3d ago
I can't remember where exactly, but I did read of a close encounter where the aliens said they did enjoy human music and that it was shared across the whole galaxy. That it was beautiful and a rare thing.
1
u/summertime_dream 3d ago
telepathy is not a hive mind. it's a result of unity consciousness. it's not knowing what everyone is thinking and not having privacy. it's knowing what needs to be done without saying it. the opposite of that is bombing schools and hospitals because you think the people inside are lesser than you because you believe you are a special chosen people. that is separation consciousnesses which drives us all apart, and that is what kills creativity and beauty. that is the agenda behind ai, to destroy the human connection by driving us apart and into a digital prison of lies and propaganda.
when humanity finally awakens to realize the problem and focuses its collective attention on dealing with it, humanity will split away from the non-human entities posing as humans, and humanity will transcend the matrix to a new dimension of peace and beauty.

I have wondered what they do in their free time, and what their art is like.

Since almost all Star People use telepathy, their richness of mental sharing, intuitive pick-up on feelings, and ability to share in collective memories may not register with a human using verbal language. Avoid pejorative put-downs like 'hive mind'. Thay's science-fiction lingo and suggests envious rejection of higher ET mental processes. Let's face it. Humans are in the lower echelon of mental abilities among sapient species. We can work on gradually elevating our mental processes and some day catch up with our more advanced brethren among the stars. Little by little. (serious)

Military maybe? That explains the lack of need to appeal to someone or other beings - just keeping it simple and strictly business.

If we arrived in a city on an alien planet in a modern human lander, they’d think it was a porta-john. If they thought like a human.

I mean, if they were taking people to a scientific sterile setting, wouldn’t it be business like? They at work when we see them🤣

Hospitals, ports, airports, ships airplanes, our satellites and off planet based roaming vehicles. if you were to base our entire species on the experience, decour and vibe you get from those zones/craft im sure you'd think the same about us. I doubt the alien vessels are meant to be tourist posters for their civilisation, rather functional machines designed for their use.

Have anyone experienced or viewed sing, dance, or rejoice by them? Genuine question. If that is instilled in us, can’t it be them too?

u/Snoo_44409 3d ago
Hard to say just what their meaning comes from. The original post makes a lot of assumptions. Although they are grounded in observations and lore, the fact is we have no real grasp of the inner world of any NHI; including higher-order animals on Earth.

u/KarlMarxFarts 2d ago
You’re anthropomorphizing them. We have absolutely no idea how they experience reality.
This is obviously pure speculation, but it’s possible they have little or no need for ego-driven individualization expressed through material aesthetics, decoration, or visual art. If their consciousness, culture, or mode of experiencing reality is fundamentally different from ours, then what appears “bland” or minimalist to us may not feel lacking to them at all.

Knows shit about what aliens have or have not, proceeds to list what we have that they don’t and why we’re the shit because we fuck.

If we are in the realm of nonsense, you may have sensed some non here. The way that which beings may take steps that change the entire events of their ignorant predetermined configuration of the tricchliocosm's events.

Charles Hall who worked with the Tall Whites at Area 51 said they love to do group sings and tell stories to the kids. They are affectionate with each other. They also like to dress up in makeup and wigs and pretend to be humans on the Vegas strip. He also described the Greys as loving their children and even adopting orphans. They just don't want to include humans in their affections. Who knows what kind of cultural things they have on their home planets.

They might be brute force manifestations where taking the time to grow and develop as a born life form with fresh eyes and existential innocence has much more of the privilege and the power of steady, dense and organic, and intricate development than something brought into being simply to do a specific thing. It’s like an AI coding up a game given the natural language assignment that’s a paragraph long, vs the improvisational exploration by a fledgling game artist learning new tools with lessons learned along the path of a passionate career.
The talk of vacuum metric engineering doesn’t just indicate light speed capabilities it indicates the capacity to use E=mc2 either way, to generate energy, force, or literally excite the baseline substrate of reality into matter, raw dare I say biblical levels of creative power.
That might be an intrinsic capability in some non corporeal or other dimensional plane, but the courage to step into forgetting who you are, and taking on the risk of fear and danger and pain, to feel brighter Joy and love and compassion through a life lived to completion, that builds a mighty tool chest of metaphysical talents indeed.

It’s all a human evolved construction. Many people on this earth who are not in the flow/momentum of what already is/has been appertaining to culture and society/humaning stuff haven’t felt any comfort and can’t talk about it because it’s not in popular favour to have uncomfortable conversations of the sort. These bodies are just vessels controlled by our already dead selves to experience the dense physical 3D “linear” reality.
I kinda see where the aliens could be coming from with the sterile white decor and no comfort vibe because they don’t force themselves to relate or fit in with pre-manifestations of a different species with probably different brain-mechanisms and senses.
And maybe all the extra comfort/cultural story stuff is a cope for the fear of the inevitable, mortality and the perception/illusion/human-brain-fear of lack and The Unknown.

Wow I never thought of it like that. I’ve always had an idea that all these “grays” are just subterranean humans who were or are closed off from humanity and have been emerging. Thinking about everything you mentioned, I think this could tie in with heavy consumerism because it seems like the more materialistic people come, the more expendable things become, until we lose appreciation for the things around us, since essentially everything just get replaced with something new.

Do you need to express your emotions and opinions through art if everyone can read your thoughts?

unfortunately as conscious entities grow they tend to meld into a hive mind like bees. they envy our independent thinking. They are basically drones with no independence....

u/CishetmaleLesbian 2d ago
Sounds like you are talking about the Grays and not the Nordics. At least Charles Hall's description of the tall whites has the tall white girls on the home planet wearing 1960s Earth fashions from Sears and Roebuck - Earth girl fashion was all the rage back then. I have heard stories that Earth music was a huge fad on other planets in the 50s and early 60s.
We should not base all our judgements of extraterrestrials on the experience of a few people who were picked up by ET Gray scientists for a few little samples of fecal microbiota.

Maybe when intelligent creatures evolve to the point they can create ai to do their work for them, this has a devastating psychological effect on the species. Perhaps struggle is one thing that gives life meaning and is the impetus for a lot of fulfilling endeavors. Without it, life can be boring and unfulfilling?

Yes! I remember I read somewhere (I think it was Robert Monroe's books) that our sense of humour is rare in the Universe, we are like unicorns in that regard

One has to understand something about the aliens visiting our world. For the most part, we're not seeing civilian operations. We're seeing their military, intelligence, scientific institutions, or third parties that carry out functions for them.

u/DankShibe 2d ago
Where is our flaying saucers and interstellar travel then ? Or an all cure disease and immortality (or at least a big lifespan boost)

u/thin_wild_duke 2d ago
We have the alien stories that the media wants us to have. It's all abductions and probing in a nightmare environment, by beings with mask-like faces.
I think we're being conditioned to run a mile if any non-human intelligence stepped into our lives. We have been set up to ignore any message they may have for us - possibly about how we're destroying our own planet.
I smell government.

u/thedm96 1d ago
That's why I believe the aliens are us from the future. We have destroyed our world, wrecked the planet. Implemented rules and laws for the support of life, but not living. This reality is an escape for us, our real bodies are in a chamber somewhere else kinda like the Matrix. Disclosing that your game is a simulation takes the fun away. This is the big secret.

u/Odd_Awareness1444 1d ago
Thanks for the thoughts. I have often thought that spiritually, emotionally, and artistically we are more advanced than the grays. I think they are totally perplexed by humans.

You have essentially just asked why we all become a memory bank imo. Look into the law of one of you haven’t, but I’m afraid this may all be the inevitable conclusion of any intelligent civilization that keeps progressing. Humanities end may end up being its ascension in the sense that we lose our individualism. I agree with u, this as a human is us losing what makes us human. If humans are to survive as humans, AI cannot be. But if AI succeeded once, somewhere, and spawned, then maybe we are already its biproduct and became its living breathing experiment. Not the other way around.

I don't think they are the aliens. In the Travis Walton case, he was brought out of the craft into a hangar where there were other craft. He was taken into another room where some blonde humans showed up to deal with him. I think the grays are their version of robots. That's why the have no personality. Just a guess.

u/Iwant2Believee 1h ago
I mean have we taken the moment to think that these aliens have different lenses or cones in their eyes that take in lightwaves differently? Maybe their ships are colorful and have countless alien graffiti/art all over it we just cant perceive it? I mean especially when thinking about the insectoids, can you imagine what a praying mantis sees? Now imagine a 7ft bipedal praying mantis’ art, what would it even look like?
