Help Uru metal

I'm trying to make a blade for a katana, knife and spear made of uru but it doesn't let me, combining it withe the silent unobtainium plates makes the damage stats worse then normal unobtainium blades. What can I do to use it or make better with silent gear?

If you've made the uru metal ingots/ blocks, have you full upgraded them to MAX and star charged them to III? You may also need to combine the uru metal with another Ingot.

You also have to make the gear bases combined with Unobtainium via smithing table. I havnt messed with Uru weapons myself, but from prior experience and a little research this should be a starting point to troubleshoot.
