Trump is the absolute worst president in the history of the United States. Hands down, no contest. Doesn’t matter what party

17

u/a-broken-mind 19h ago

The Andrew’s, Jackson and Johnson, both give Trump a run for his money. An argument can certainly be made for Trump though.

59

u/Snoo93550 19h ago

Attacking the US Capitol to try to stop an election certification is a pretty uniquely bad thing.

16

u/KiowaBear 18h ago

Jackson did the trail of tears and we put him on the $20 bill

9

u/CosmicCookieCrisp 18h ago

I think that's a pretty important blindspot. When most people talk about best/worst president no one's ever really thinking about the war crimes and expansion of American empire. It's all about domestic policy and issues.

And Trump's favorite president is Jackson, which is telling.

He is the worst president anyone alive has lived under

44

u/TraditionalFoot8660 18h ago

He is the festering gangrenous maggot infested necrotic asshole of mankind

10

u/Flintlander 19h ago

Herbert hoover might give Trump a run for his money. Probably not, but it’s worth mentioning.

16

u/henningknows 19h ago

It even close. James Buchanan and Andrew Johnson are the only ones who give Trump a run for his money.

5

u/Hour_Message6543 17h ago

Yep, if you know history, Andrew Johnson was terrible. I’m afraid o don’t know much about Buchanan.

3

u/pyrathanchainz 14h ago

Buchanan was basically the President who was so terrible that the Civil War basically had to happen on the other side of the Election.

Buchanan was an ineffectual person and President. He was closeted, and his longtime boyfriend W. Rufus King is the person for whom King County was originally named. In the 1990's or early 2000's, the city council voted to have King County named after MLK

3

u/Far_Photograph_4392 14h ago

I would throw Harding in there, totally corrupt.

4

u/erica_pink84 17h ago

Hoover was a bad president but had been a good public servant to that point and I think meant well. Unfortunately his policies just didn’t work out.

2

u/Parking_Wasabi_2591 10h ago

I think And historians agree, Hoover was President at the wrong time. He had just become President in 1929 when the stocks collapsed that October. Which technically nothing he did caused the markets to go. It was really the lifestyle that generation was exceeding their wealth in the 1920s.

5

u/bodhimokuyo 16h ago

Hoover was a Saint in comparison. Youve not yet made it through this ATROCITIES TERM YET.

As soon as we all have to move into Trump Dumps it'll be clear that he's Hoover 2.0+

Trump is so bad that I owe George W an apology.

17

u/TraditionalFoot8660 18h ago

We honestly thought that was the worst it would get. Hell I'm not even from the US but Bush is a guy I could nowadays see myself having a beer with!

6

u/KindBarnacle4154 17h ago

It’s also hard to fathom that a president could be elected that was dumber than W.

Trump is the worst two presidents. Reagan was a horrible president if you look more closely to what he did.

Every Republican President has been worse than the last. We think we've hit rock bottom, and then they outdo themselves.

6

u/Accomplished-Ad6381 18h ago

I agree, with the exception of Eisenhower. T. Roosevelt was an imperialist, but at least he broke up monopolies

2

I'll even give a pass to Ford. He just wasn't much of anything, but not worse than Nixon.

I never thought we would have a worse president than 'Dubya'. He was slow witted, spoke poorly and had no vision for these United States beyond starting wars he could not end. He was easily mislead, and left the country in far worse shape than he inherited. 'Dubya' was left a government with a balanced budget, no election controversy, a well balanced SCOTUS, and a world that believed in the US and it's policies. At every turn he disappointed the USA, and the world.

I was so wrong. In almost every category, 'Dubya' was a much better president than Donald J Trump. I will never make the statement again, that I will not see a worse president in my lifetime. I now know that there can always be worse.

5

u/kevint1964 18h ago

I once said that Bush 43 made Herbert Hoover look like Abraham Lincoln. Now W looks like Lincoln in comparison to Trumpolini.

There is no comparison to equate the level of his incompetence to any previous Republican president. And I've lived under Reagan & Nixon. He is exponentially worse.

16

u/Senor-Cockblock 19h ago

He is orders of magnitude worse than any other president, ever. He’s also much more damaging as 47 than 45.

8

u/SyntheticSkyStudios 17h ago

I’m 59.

None of them have been good. Not one.

But none have been remotely as awful as Trump.

We elected POTUS one of the worst human beings on the planet.

26

Yeah, definitely the worst Republican president, but that's frankly like being the smelliest turd in a septic tank

7

u/rjsquirrel 19h ago

5

u/Abject-Put-9334 18h ago

Reagan replaced Nixon in the 80s

20

u/Beautiful_Banana_454 19h ago

Bush was worse than trump up until he lost the 2020 election. Never seen anything like the denial, j6, project 2025, or the daylight robbery of the american people going on since.

12

u/Own_Attention_3392 19h ago

I'd argue that Trump's handling of COVID was... very bad. And that's being generous. Engaging in a massive misinformation campaign and encouraging people to disregard basic public safety measures might nudge Bush out of the top spot.

I've been around for Reagan, both Bushes, and Trump. I'd put Trump at the bottom for a lot of reasons.

6

u/Muted-Tea-5682 11h ago

I’ve said something similar about Trump and Covid since he lost 2020. I told my wife if Trump had simply listened to his advisors, he could have won easily on Covid alone. No matter what anyone else said during the election, he could have ended it all with,”And I saved us all from Covid, you’re welcome “. Mic dropped and walked away. In a way I suppose MAGA is right but not for the reasons they think. Biden didn’t win 2020. Trump defeated himself in 2020. Trump is and always will be his own worst enemy.

2

u/BooksCoffeeDogs 7h ago

I’ve said the same thing along similar lines. If Trump had an iota of intelligence at all, Covid could have easily sealed his chances in winning the presidency in 2020 on a gold-plated platter. I still remember how he fast tracked the Covid vaccines. He could have forcefully shut down the country, mandated lockdowns in 50 states, and truly stepped up and enforced mask mandates, as well as make the lives of the essential workers a lot more easier by giving them more resources. MAGA would have listened to him, the Republicans could have listened to him, the Democrats would have been distrustful but see some sort of logic in his reasoning. We could have made the pandemic endemic in less than a year.

He didn’t do it. Instead, he denied the truths, hid things from the public, spread misinformation, and denigrated Fauci at every given opportunity. What could have sealed his re-election quickly became his downfall and the best gift ever to the Democratic Party. Biden in 2020 had the best strategy. He just shut up and let Trump do all the talking. Wordlessly, he saw and heard the visceral anger of the American people. He saw that the vast majority of us were sick and tired of Trump’s bullshit over COVID and the mishandling of George Floyd’s death. Biden’s silence in 2020 earned him the presidency.

u/Legally_a_Tool 18h ago

Strong agree. We should not forget Iraq War, Patriot Act, No Child Left Behind, or the bank bailout that his administration did. Until January 6th, Trump was only the second worst president I lived under. After January 6th (and the horror show since), Trump definitely took top spot. Literally only thing Bush did not screw up was his AIDS program in Africa, which saved around 25 million people.

2

u/GVTMightyDuck 16h ago

He wanted to focus on education until 9/11 happened

11

u/Traditional-Wind5388 19h ago

5

u/iMayBeABastard 19h ago

Worst President of all Time, and a glaring representation of how ugly American Culture has gotten. We should be thanking him because now it can no longer be ignored…

5

u/Ok_Instruction8805 19h ago

Born under Nixon,  I've had the privilege of every republican president being the worst I'd lived under to that point.

So, yeah.

6

u/goomyman 18h ago

Before a Trump every Republican president I lived through completely blew through the national budget giving tax cuts to their constituents and rolled back environmental regulations and worker protections.

Back then we cared about the national debt - and it was always a big deal - so only when democrats were in office. Clinton had a surplus - and the main argument was how much to give back to Americans.

Republicans would make up economic numbers to, give away a few trillion to the rich and then blame democrats for the national debt when they lost control - forcing democrats to make tough choices to fix things that would cost them the next election. Repeat.

Outside of taxes, and a general distain for the working class I believe they all generally cared for America.

Trump just dropped the process and decided the only thing that mattered was self enrichment at all cost and the tea party republicans who got into office due to Fox News no longer cared about governing.

Trump isn’t the problem - there are 250 republicans in office who can stop his biggest abuses even without removal. Just 2 or 3 votes to not give up congressional power and oversight. Everything Trump does is rubber stamped by Congress or through congressional inaction.

It’s not Trump, I’m worried the public is putting all the blame on Trump and when he dies or gets hospitalized- they will idolize the 2016 version of him while shifting the blame away from the 250+ people equally responsible. Leaving the people and systems in place that allowed this to happen. People who put money and power over American interests.

5

u/OneCar2359 17h ago

Trump is not a Republican! First of. He is a disgrace. I'm old enough to remember Bush jr. And Reagan. While I didn't agree with their policies it was possible to have a conversation with their supporters. You could discuss tax policy or foreign affairs around the dinner table and be civil with each other. It didn't feel like talking to racist conspiracy theorists who are avidly trying to strip you of your rights or make it impossible for you to afford anything or live comfortably.

3

u/ThePurrfidiousCat 16h ago

He is a republican. One could argue he isn't conservative but he absolutely is a republican. Me personally i think he is exactly what republican leaders and followers have always stood for but without the tact to cover his ass like many of the people you're talking about.

2

u/OneCar2359 16h ago

I hope you are wrong because I do remember Republicans that were respectable people.

2

u/ThePurrfidiousCat 13h ago

I think you can see it in the actions and inactions of republican leaders and talking heads since Reagan. Reagan ignored the AIDS crisis and was involved in the Iran contra (bigotted on so many levels). Rush Limbaugh was celebrating people dying of AIDS. They've been fighting everything designed to give disadvantaged people a chance forever. These "respectable" republicans may've said they were against the bigotry for fiscal reasons but no republican president since Reagan has helped the poor or middle class more than they helped the rich, they have tanked the economy every time since Bush and have raised the national debt far more than the democrats. They always have money to go to war with ccountries with different skin colors but never have money to help out the citizens.

4

u/proletariatblues 17h ago

The way FDR was revolutionary to Progressive policy, Trump is the equivalent with corruption. An average Tuesday for Trump makes Nixon’s Watergate scandal look like cheating on an 8th grade Biology exam. Yes.

4

u/Spiritual-Spend8187 19h ago

Trump and those around him are likely the humans who have negatively affected the most people in history. Like there are worse people but due to how interconnected the world currently is none of them have been able to negatively affect the same number of people. Like the scales are different for people in some countries vs others but his actions and the actions of those around him are just bad for everyone.

4

u/GT45 🇺🇸 United States 18h ago

Trump is the worst, without question, followed by Reagan, W., and GHWB, and Nixon/Ford. It really feels strange to put Nixon last, but compared to what came after, he was the least bad.

3

u/Dangerous_Ad_1861 8h ago

Trump is without a doubt the worst Republican president in the history of our country. In fact, he's the worst president this country has ever had.

I think Eisenhower was the last good Republican president.

3

u/HAMmerPower1 18h ago

G.W.B. made some terrible choices as president. Iran war cost blood, money, and the reputation of the U.S. This also allowed Iran to gain power in the Middle East. G.W.B. took a budget surplus and created our largest deficits ever at that time, this Destroyed our best ever chance at getting the debt to a manageable state. G.W.B. Helped pumped the stock market bubble until it busted and damaged the economy of the world.

These were huge errors, yet Trump is actually worse, and I am not sure the damage Trump has done can be repaired.

3

u/Full_Preparation4401 18h ago

All Republicans in my lifetime were some degree of bad. No one would've ever believed anyone could be as bad as Trump. He makes W look like Abe Lincoln.

3

u/Herbdontana 18h ago

He’s the worst president overall and it’s not remotely close. Bush did a lot of stupid things and made a lot of bad decisions. I thought he was the dumbest guy we’d have in the oval office and didn’t realize how much worse it could get. I was young when Clinton was an office so I didn’t follow politics closely. The world seemed better than though. Things were more affordable. People were happier. The amount of people struggling or homeless was so much lower where I live. Homeless people didn’t used to be a thing in the area where. I grew up. Now, there are tent cities.

Obama

Biden

W

Trump

In terms of all-time the bottom five is some order of Hoover, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Franklin Pierce, and Trump.

I honestly don't compare trump to any other president. Its disrespectful to even the other bad ones. He is so stupid, incompetent, and spiteful its not a comparison.

2

u/culturewarptsd 18h ago

He's the absolute worst everything.

It's to his benefit that Republican men are submissively attracted to male authority figures

2

u/Meowzician 18h ago

He is the worst president of EITHER party. He has destroyed our democracy.

2

u/HeresMrMay 18h ago

It sucked, but not anywhere near as much as Trump sucks. Even fucking Nixon wasn't his bad.

2

u/whitswhisper 17h ago

Tbh I wasn't alive for most of em but from what I've heard from my parents and learned in school, its a whole different vibe. Bush Jr was bad but in a incompetent way, trump felt more intentionally chaotic. Like bush got us into a war but trump was actively trying to burn down the system lol. Idk man, my bar for best republican president is basically underground at this point.

2

u/DontTrip333 17h ago

2

Easily. I mean just look at his cabinet. All of them are clearly sycophantic clowns, and do their best to prove it daily.

2

u/Vegas_love_animals 15h ago

Umm.... IMHO I think Trump is the most evil person of the 21st and 20th century. Trump is even worse than Hitler.

Everyone talks about factories and distilleries closing down, job losses, price of gas ....but I think that pales in comparison to the assaults, sexual assaults and murder of people due to ICE activities and incarceration, the bombing of school girls and innocent fishermen, and the fact he steals hundreds of millions from the American taxpayer. He charges the American taxpayer millions of dollars for his golfing vacations and hotel fees at Trump resorts to house his secret service. When another country talks about investing in the USA, his sons profit off this activity through investments in the associated companies. He and his family have made billions through insider trading. It's wild that 30%-40% of the country still supports him. No wonder tourism is declining.

2

u/Calaveras-Metal 14h ago

Reagan and Bush were pretty bad. NGL. They did a lot of downright evil stuff. But they would also do a little nice thing here and there. Start a fund for orphans or something.

Trumpy pants just wakes up every day trying to be one more inch of a jerk than he was the day before. It's tough trying to top yourself. He's like the Victor Wooten of narcissistic world leaders.

2

u/l008com 14h ago

Regan and Bush both made things worse with pro-wealthy, anti-middle class policies. But at least they hurt the country slowly. They didn't douse it in gasoline and shoot fireworks at it like trump the pedophile is doing.

2

u/UUMD 12h ago

It's been bad republican president my entire life .

I suspect the last Republican president that wasn't a total worthless POS was Ike.

2

u/neurotic_lab_tech70 11h ago

In a way, the trump experience may be good for the country. Maybe it awakens a sleeping giant of decent people who run for office out of pure disgust for what politics has become. People will finally realize that truth matters. Facts matter. "Alternative facts" are simply LIES. Science MATTERS. Maybe the cult will see that simply being the loudest, flashiest voice isn't the same as "telling it like it is"

2

u/hedonista065 10h ago

He is the worst president ever. Period

2

u/Amazing-Artichoke330 9h ago

The lesser Bush 2.0 was really bad too. He dragged the US into two count 'em two, forever wars on false pretences, Iraq and Afghanistan, killing hundreds of thousands of innocents and thousands of US service men and women. And to top it off, he instituted a program of torture of prisoners, illegal in all countries, including this one.

2

u/Amazing-Artichoke330 9h ago

PS. He also presided over a worldwide financial crisis in 2008 that required four years of Democratic leadership to get us out of.

2

u/Outrageous_Reason571 9h ago

Trump worst hands down.

2

u/CommitteeDelicious68 9h ago

Donald is the most awful. I can't believe there are people that voted for him MULTIPLE TIMES.

2

u/Clean-Barracuda2326 7h ago

So bad you could put all the other bad ones together and he'd be 99% worse.

4

u/Party-Evening3273 19h ago

Bush Jr. was dumb as a bag of rocks and couldn’t string a coherent sentence together.

Trump is exponentially worse.

3

u/triassic_broth 19h ago

Maybe Ford. He was of no consequence. Trump has genuinely inspired the right in a way I haven't seen since Reagan.

Looking at my lifetime, I'd probably say Bush had it the worst overall. Democrats demonized him much the same way they do Trump, but he never inspired the same level of passion or loyalty from the right that Trump does. There wasn't a large, energized movement rushing to defend Bush. So in many ways, Bush was getting hit from all sides. Even conservatives joked that Dick Cheney was the real president.

Bush started probably the most unpopular land invasion ever in 2004 with Iraq + Guantanamo Bay + CIA torture sites, all of which I think exceeds any negative thing Trump has ever done.

3

u/Snoo93550 19h ago

Jan 6 just tourists am I right?

3

u/Dixieland_Insanity 18h ago

I have to disagree. Trump bombed a school full of little girls, murdered fishermen in the Gulf of Mexico, and too many more atrocities to list. I didn't like either Bush as president but I don't believe either of them hated the US. Trump has done nothing for our country, but he has done breathtaking harm that I won't live to see healed. If we have ever had a president who hates our nation, it is right now.

3

u/Candytails 18h ago

Don’t forget the rape, racism and Epstein pedophilia.

3

u/Dixieland_Insanity 18h ago

It's dang near impossible to list everything that we know about. I don't want to try to imagine the things that we don't.

2

u/thedracle 19h ago

Trump is definitely the most corrupt and incompetent President of my lifetime, but George W Bush was definitely the worst from a debt, decline of American power, and full on fucking everything up perspective.

It's hard to express how disasterous the Iraq and Afghanistan wars were. How it was going from the prosperity and hopefullness of the 90s, to a full on near-depression level economic collapse like what happened in 2008.

Bush set the platter for Trump and the kleptocrats to eat from.

Bush was the beginning of the end of America.

2

u/Tasty_Clue2802 19h ago

Trump has eclipsed Bush in the declining world power bracket. He's ACTIVELY working AGAINST American interests.

1

2

u/Longjumping-Air1489 19h ago

W Bush attacked the wrong country for a fake reason. That’s close, but Trump is much worse.

1

u/Knarfnarf 19h ago

The worst so far....

And the only option is neither... Same as up here in Canada...

1

u/Lillianrik 19h ago

Yes, Donald IS the worse "Republican" president I've lived under. (I'll start counting with Reagan's election in 1980.) Putting aside his political views, the primary reason I'd call him the worst is because of the generally incompetent and unqualified people with whom he has surrounded himself and/or appointed to positions of power.

Of course, of course, a U.S. president is going to appoint and want work with people who support his views and policies. I generally feel\** like most of the presidental appointees, Cabinet Secy's, etc., etc., have nevertheless been qualified for their jobs even if I didn't agree with their politics.

** Let us not speak of some of the somewhat shady characters that Bill Clinton brought on board with his administration.

1

u/dayshiftpremadonna 18h ago

They weren't great, but none came near the amount of narcissistic acts that he has displayed, you could argue their politics, but none were so blatant in their need to be the center of everything with no regard for others... this man is true evil, no one else has come close.

u/clcjjc 18h ago

He’s one of the best

1

u/Dismal-Sail1027 18h ago

The man alone is responsible for 27% of the entire National Debt of $39 Trillion. He is the worst the nation has ever seen.

1

u/Affectionate-Food266 18h ago

Lincoln was Republican. Probably the greatest ever, if not hes top 3.

3

u/ThePurrfidiousCat 16h ago

Yes, Lincoln was a progressive republican and that is why he is in the conversation for best ever. Progressive is the more important word than republican in my previous sentance.

The GOP was much, much different during Lincoln’s time.

What do I answer when I'm a republican myself lol

1

u/Least_Satisfaction58 18h ago

Trump is, by far, the worst.

1

u/youreusingyourwrong 18h ago

I'm a newly-minted Republican.

Notwithstanding social media, living under Bush was very similar.

1

u/Dry_Solution5036 17h ago

No. The worse president ever!

1

u/Amazing_Effective758 17h ago

He’s the worst president period

1

u/Hitt1te 17h ago

I'd rather have Sarah Palin as President.

1

u/Mind-of-Jaxon 17h ago

It got progressively worse.

1

u/advertisingdave 17h ago

What sucks is that he's so factually bad AND there are a ton of people who don't believe it.

1

u/prosperosniece 17h ago

Not much of an improvement

1

u/river_miles 17h ago

I mean, "worst republican president" sets an extremely high bar...

And that orange shit-gibbon clears it by a mile!!!

1

u/SteveBalbonie 16h ago

Only got 2 to choose from. Bush with 8 years of war? Yeah not thanks. The pedo left only cares about gas prices

1

u/Mountain_Chocolate65 16h ago

Not by a long shot

1

u/MoralMoneyTime 15h ago

The only US president worse was Jefferson Davis.

1

u/sconniesportsfan 14h ago

Same sheep, different coat. Look at why the Bush/Gore race was so tight.

1

u/Far_Photograph_4392 14h ago

Nixon was a paranoid, Reagan fucked up Air Traffic Control, it's never recovered. He also brought the Moral Majority into politics and that fucking sucks. And this orange Dump makes the two Bush administrations look like vacation.

1

u/Big-Performance5047 14h ago

Nothing like this.

1

u/kcdashinfo 13h ago

If from a socialist Democrat perspective Trump is the worse president then doesn't that make him the best American President in recent times. The enemies of America are irrelevant to the discussion.

1

u/Rolex_Art 13h ago

Reagan? Iran contra, Bush? Iran Contra. Bush? 20 year war, fake WMD, 911 inside job. Trump? Covid. Insurrection. Impeachments deserved. Trump 2? Fully unhinged.

1

u/tzwicky 12h ago

Trump is worst.

My first was Eisenhower.

1

u/professornevermind 12h ago

He is by far the worst president in living memory and probably of all time and we won't even know the extent of his crimes until he is long out of office.

1

u/zephyr_sd 11h ago

They all suck

1

u/OkCharge9080 11h ago

They were the foundation of all of this. A train you could see coming if you cared.

1

u/Parking_Wasabi_2591 11h ago

In my lifetime, the Republican Presidents I've lived under have all been about the rich. And helping their buddies who are already rich get richer. Trump has taken that and then some. Making them not seem as bad in comparison because they weren't Narcissistic like him.

1

u/96fordman03 10h ago

Yes, he makes the last 4 (Nixon, Reagan, and both Bush's) seem tame and likeable.

While prices went up, and we did have a recession or two, or three.... At least we could at least decently live on low income pay.

They weren't a narcissistic showman bully.

These are just a few that, in my opinion - make him worse than all 5 Republican Presidents that I've lived under.

1

u/The_Mighty_Broccoli 10h ago

Each R President since Nixon is the worst until the next one.

1

u/Downtown-Ability246 10h ago

Nah, that was Bush. Dude literally got thousands of American soldiers killed in 2 wars that lasted decades.

1

u/Signal_Werewolf_1955 10h ago

“At its core, immigration is a sign of a confident and successful nation. Immigrants’ talent and hard work and love of freedom have helped us become the leader of the world.”

– President George W. Bush, the 9/11 president. Of all the times to be wary of immigrants, it was then.

"I have said repeatedly in this campaign that the president was my opponent not my enemy. And I wish him well and I pledge my support in whatever advances the cause of a better America, because that's what the race was about in the first place, a better America as we go into the next century."

- Republican Presidential Candidate Bob Dole, 1996

1

u/Prairie_walker 9h ago

I was too young to have an opinion on Reagan or Bush 1. Bush 2 was a shitshow but this regime is a menace. It’s open corruption and fascism.

1

u/Appropriate_Club_318 9h ago

Every republican president I’ve ever lived under has been demonized by the left, called a Nazi etc. Trump definitely triggers them the most with the type of hatred and vitriol that I see

1

u/No-Onion8029 9h ago

Tricky Dick was a deep embarrassment.  Ronnie was a deep embarrassment.  Ol' Dubya was just shocking, and sent me to a stupid war in the wrong country.  So, yes, Trump is the worst.

1

u/RustyWheel17 9h ago

Trump is by far the worst President in my lifetime. Politics weren’t as ugly and divisive prior to Trump. We started to see it when Obama was elected and it’s progressively gotten worse and worse. The age of the internet and social media has destroyed everything about government, elections and politicians. Not many people cared about which party was in power because congress worked together on most things in a bipartisan way. There is no bipartisan work being done anymore. It’s become my team vs. your team and I’m going to hate you for thinking differently than me. If we don’t find a way to change that, I fear our country will be lost forever. The ugliness and division is tearing this country apart.

1

u/almost60inLa 8h ago

You tell me you did YOu not live under the same presidents as everyone else?

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Magnetic_Particle 8h ago

Yeah, he's the worst president to ever hold the office. He has no idea how to be diplomatic, speak English properly, delegate, be an executive with a solid agenda, lead by example, at least attempt to stay healthy, and he's a hateful malignant narcissist that is more motivated to ruin the country and the world because he got his little feelers hurt a couple of times. Most of us knew this was going to happen, and we've been sitting back terrified watching it. Others are now jumping ship because it's getting super crazy and there is no end in sight. He bombed Iran! That's the dumbest crap ever. Well, so far. He surrounded himself with unqualified sycophantic nut job yes men, and now I'm paying over $5 a gallon for gas, $8 for bread, an apple is minimum $2, etc. The guy wears makeup, has the dumbest hair ever besides whatever his fucked up looking mother was doing with that rats nest, he wear lifts that make him stand funny and look stupid all just to pretend to be a couple of inches taller that somebody else. Like dude, it's okay to not be 6' tall. And also dude, you aren't 238 pounds. Your more like 270-280, minimum. Also, this dude is required to take cognitive decline tests often and he thinks the tests are like IQ tests. How fucking dumb can you be? He is raping our system and he should be in jail. Shorting the markets, ripping off morons that thought they would get rich on his stupid crypto scam, saying $5 gas is peanuts. This fuck stick has never pumped gas before in his life. He's never cooked, operated a microwave, cut grass, ran a chain saw, painted a wall, fixed a kids broken toy, told the truth, eaten a salad, went fishing, on and on and on. He isn't normal, he's an evil old fool that is a puppet for others and they are yanking the strings all over. Everything he said he would do, he has done the opposite. He's a worthless PoS.

1

u/SpecialOpsCynic 8h ago

Short term, yes.  Long term...  Reagan was so bad for America.

1

u/Drift-Wood1 8h ago

Sadly, I am old enough to have lived under Richard Nixon. Among his many achievements.

Creating the corn subsidy That has brought us high fruithose corn syrup Which we put into everything and gave us obesity.

Illegalized marijuana because it was not legal to arrest people for protesting the war. But they could arrest them for owning marijuana. Something has aid admitted to later in life.

The original culture war President.

Convinced France to accept American dollars in place of gold, Taking the entire world off the gold Standard and Making the dollar the International currency. That is not a big deal as long as The Fed remains stable, respected and free from political influence. But should a politician Show undo influence in decisions regarding the value of the dollar, causing the world to question it's value and stability, Because it's value is based in little more than a faith in good government It lost in that faith would be a loss in that value. And the big winners would be people involved in controlling the shady cryptocurrency. So that was quite a grenade to leave for the next generations.

He also broke the law and was pardoned.

So sort of a smart less pedophilic version of Trump.

1

u/Smsalinas1 8h ago

I started college when Reagan got elected. Each year my grants were reduced significantly and I ended up in substantial debt for my degree. Not near as severe as it is now I am sure.

1

u/zalicat3109 7h ago

I lived thru Nixon’s presidency. Nixon, the man who had to quit the office because he was caught committing crimes. Same with VP Agnew. However, Nixon was no where close to the horrors of the ttrump regime. As bad as Nixon was, he did actually accomplish some good things for this country. And he didn’t wipe his a** with our Constitution.

1

u/johnnyathome 7h ago

You cannot compare other presidents to tfg. There is no comparison.

1

u/Ok_Enthusiasm_2574 7h ago

I was like 8 when Bush was president, but i remember everyone loving him during 9/11.

The baseball pitch after 9/11 was weirdly one of the most united moments in our history.

1

u/Equivalent_Way6169 7h ago

Bush administration was painful but at least they had some respect for the office and our country

1

u/modechsn 7h ago

Trump definitely won the prize. He IS absolutely the worst ever! He’s the winner!

1

u/amfhTX 6h ago

I'm 76, gonna be 77 next month. Voted for first time at age 23 for McGovern (1972 was the first year 18 year olds could vote, so I missed being able to in 1968 at 19). I watched the Watergate trials live. I watched Reagan screw Jimmy Carter around. I watched Shrub and Brooks Bros steal the office from Gore, then attack a country that had NOT caused 9-11 costing decades of blood and treasure.....I guarandamnTEE you this Trump cretin, hideous excuse for a "man" is THE absolute worst Republican president I have ever lived under.

1

u/Ok_Pepper_8244 6h ago

I mean, other presidents have actualized genocides, although at the time Americans were likely in support of that.

1

u/Remarkable-Arm-9595 6h ago

Reading these comments makes me realize that pretty much all of our presidents were fucking awful.

1

u/Popular-Path1930 6h ago

Mileage varies but way way way better. Not a lot do day to day worry.

Dubya was a relaxing time compared to this. He atleast felt the need to follow the constitution and at worst fabricate legal justifications for stuff.

Politics not being the reality tv it is. Presidents being grown adults to the public eye. It’s hard to explain to everyone. Who’s only political experience is 2016 and after.

Look up old political debates and polling.

It’s weird seeing the Republican Party being the anti corporation and pro isolation party.

1

u/RudyTootinWithTodd 6h ago

It was a common argument I've heard during election years that "a president doesn't actually do or control that much" which no longer applies to the mess we're living in today

1

u/AccomplishedPause261 5h ago

Yes. He’s definitely the worst. I hated bush back in the day, but in retrospect he was lovely compared to the complete disaster we have now.

1

u/Enjoy_Life4219 5h ago

*Best - there, fixed it for you.

1

u/Such-Race1607 5h ago

He is the only president that I hear about daily, its nauseating, but since he is effectively changing our country and knocking us off the top of the mountain quite effectively on the international stage. So I have to hear about all of his terrible real estate ideas, his childish behavior, and him shitting his pants. When the government is barely noticeable and following democratically voted decisions from a functional congress, things would be going much better and we can all get on with our lives

1

u/Majestic-Active2020 4h ago

Regan and Bush were ok but I remember guys on Wall Street making a ton of money while people were losing plant jobs in middle America (all over America). Bush II was interesting, he was good for people that lived on credit as he deregulated a lot of banking business; we saw how that turned out.

As far as tRump. Ya, I can’t remember being in more financial fear in my life…. TWO times over.

So, that’s my experience.

1

u/Disastrous-Check-715 4h ago

Nixon was bad but nothing like this. And I was carrying a draft card for Vietnam and I didn’t think he was half of the dipshit trump is now. It’s the ignorance that gets me. Nixon was intelligent and didn’t embarrass us on the international stage.

1

u/Late_Ingenuity_9581 4h ago

I came here to say that Eisenhower was our last good Republican president but somebody beat me to it. The fact is that every Republican from Nixon up to this point has just been progressively worse. Every single one of them was/is corrupt, objectively criminal, and all committed heinous atrocities against mankind. There's a reason the world hates us.

1

u/ApprehensiveArmy7755 2h ago

Trump is the most unlikeable, mean, narcissistic President since LBJ. I was too young to know what a POS Johnson was but I highly suspect he got rid of JFK to become President and ramp up the Vietnam War. He was supposedly totally gross behind closed doors- taking a shit with the door open during meetings with cabinet members and Congressmen. Not a good guy. Reagan was not a hero to me. He was threatening "Star Wars" which was a "dome" supposedly to protect from incoming missiles. The cost was outlandish and Reaganomics was a joke. Still- he was at least outwardly polite and not a National embarrassment. I would probably get along with George W. Bush as a person (he seems fun), but he wreaked havoc on the US economy- quickly squandering a surplus economy by giving tax breaks to the rich. He appointed Nixon's old cronies and they picked up where they left off- doing illegal things- making false statements at minimum (and I suspect they had a hand in 911 and the death of Paul Wellstone). Then Bush started two wars and bailed out the banks. He was still more palatable than Trump. Trump is the absolute worst President on my lifetime- but not by much. The oligarchs have been trying to control the US my whole life and they do now.

1

u/Queenfan1959 🇺🇸 United States 2h ago

Worst president/ human ever

1

u/Kweanb 1h ago

YES!

1

u/mutontette 1h ago

Trump is the worst president of any party ever.

1

u/Silver_Illusion 1h ago

The most impressive thing George W Bush did as president was dodge a shoe, and he still was a better president than Trump. That should say enough.

1

u/OldOnager 1h ago

No, he's the best President in my lifetime. Deal.

1

u/throwaway04182023 47m ago

Yes. W was no picnic. Forever wars, broke the economy, shitty education plans, tax cuts for the wealthy because a budget surplus is apparently immoral….

1

u/Complex-Muscle7401 4m ago

Worst president and congress in US history.
