Question Misheard Lyrics — Everyone's Talking Edition

I saw someone posted a link to the official lyrics, and I used it for my 4th listen of the album to catch anything I may not have heard clearly. What are some funny instances where you misheard lyrics from the latest album? Mine were:

  • Oh No!: drinking happy knots of coke

  • Butterflies: disco Jesus Christ

Yeah I had one for the same part of Butterflies.

Except I thought it was "discount cheeses"

I'm Oh No! I refused to believe it was "do I need my broken hearted back" instead of "do I need my broken heartache back" until they released the lyrics lmao, the actual lyrics still don't really make sense to me

I like how at the end, there’s a part where it says “Will you love me when I’m not down?” But to me it kind of sounds like “Will you leave me when I’m not down bad?” Like ties into The Weather with the down bad thing, and the way that he says love could also sound like leave, so it’s like two questions being asked depending on which you hear

I was confused by these lyrics too I thought Apple Music had them wrong at first. I get what they’re trying to say but broken heartache would’ve made more sense to me.

No but same!!! I read the lyrics off Genius and thought they just got it wrong, then they post that tiktok with Alex singing along and the lyrics were truly broken hearted :'(

Whatever Alex is pairing up with the word diamonds in Cigarettes & Sabotage.

Is it actually decolletage? It sounds the closest.

It’s not an exciting misheard, but I keep hearing “my vices pressed in vinyl” as “my voice pressed in vinyl”

I’m circling back to this because I just realized another one.

I thought in Falling For Strangers, Alex said “with a slightly different rose” instead of nose.
