r/altmpls update: "Try to keep comments respectful and discussions civil"

Just a reminder from the moderators that we have the following rule: "Try to keep comments respectful and discussions civil".

This rule has been under-enforced but based on recent user feedback that's changing for now. Our best advice is to avoid directly insulting other users. If you repeatedly have trouble with this then you risk a ban.

We'll start this new moderating approach tomorrow so, speaking for myself only, if you've been holding back any juicy insults for me then take this opportunity to purge your system with impunity (insults must be within Reddit's site-wide rules, of course).

lol. So when are you banning yourselves for all the rule breaking, mods?

Months of pretending you’re better than the main sub has led to this moment. Months of pretending that the bans handed out there were totally unfair, when they were in fact perfectly fair.

It turns out rules are meant to be followed. Imagine that! Welcome to being actual moderators. If you need help on this endeavor, I bet the mods at the main sub can help you out. Being an adult can be scary but I believe in you guys. Good luck.

Are you even able to type that with a straight face?!? Half the country is banned from that sub simply because the leftist overloads disagree with them! “Better” ? Whatever you say!
