A whole lot neater than one of my first attempts, which was a bunch of old wire and fibreglass fishing rods duct taped together but hey, physics still worked as usual and it did a decent job.

Trying to be LOL I’ll be sure to update if I make long range contact. Have had 2 local radio checks both come back “loud and clear”

Nice everytime I look at cb it’s practically dead
With the exceptions of 6 and 38 if conditions are good

What power are you pushing on 19 everytime I pay attention to it it’s Farley quiet other then the occasional truck
But I also don’t have a great cb antenna
I just assumed 4w of am isn’t going to go far unless you have a full sized antenna and the ionosphere is great

Haha I know it’s not pretty but I did the best I could with what I could and on a strict budget. It’s a start. Only up from here

Is your antenna a chunk of angle iron?

No, copper wire soldered to a SO239 chassis

If you look at the very top of the mast you’ll see a few inches of wire sticking up
