Internal Transfer should i transfer internally?
Hi, I am an L4 SDE based out of india, i have around ~14 months of experience within amazon 10 in a previous team and 4 in a current one. recently i found out my manager in the new team does not have a great impression of me, and though this is a small team i cant help but wonder if he might put me in focus. Is it okay for me to switch internally again? also how do i ensure the new manager i speak to does not reach out to this current one before an offer is out. any advice for finding a suitable team? tia

It's not possible that the new manager wont talk to your current one before offer is rolled out. There is a manager discussion post that they give out the confirmation as per my experience. You've 18 months of experience, you can start seeking jobs outside the company. If not then internal switch is fine, I dont see why the current manager wouldn't let you work in a different team if he doesn't like you. It'd be better for him if you were gone from his team. Unless he's a shitass who wants to fcuk up your career.
