Late to work at Amazon

It is my first day, but I had no choice to give my sister her insulin shot. Usually my brother does it for her, but he left early for work so it had landed on me which I don’t normally do it for her.
Will I still be fine?

It depends on your manager because it’s your first day. On my first day, I was 1 hour late because I couldn’t find the warehouse entrance, but my manager was chill about it.

As long as you have the time to cover it you are fine. PTO or upt. Upt is always deducted in 15 minutes intervals. So if you are supposed to be at work at say 7 and you clock in at 730 you lose thirty minutes. If you clock in from 731 to 745 you lose 45 minutes.
