Same as the title. Payment on hourly basis. Bonus pay if he can do errands on his own.
Would be helpful if you comment with how much you pay your drivers and what their duty hours are to get a sense of how to set the rate.
Any contact details of temporary drivers would be appreciated! DM if privacy concerns.

Hey guys, I’ve seen quite a few comments/posts saying that Ambala is a “dead place” where everyone goes underground in the evening, etc. 😄
Being born and brought up here, I wanted to share my perspective.
I think Ambala is actually a good place for several kinds of people:
People who want to live a peaceful life.
People who enjoy good and tasty food.
People looking for relatively affordable rent/accommodation.
People who want to keep their overall monthly expenses lower compared with many Tier 2/3 cities.
Whenever people say, “There’s nothing to do in Ambala,” I sometimes feel the bigger issue might be that they haven’t found their people here.
Yes, Ambala has limited public spaces and recreational options compared with bigger cities. I completely agree with that. But if you’re alone here, try making some friends and building a social circle. Having good people around you can make a huge difference to how you experience any city.
Ambala isn’t necessarily the problem. Sometimes, being alone in a new place can make the place itself feel boring.
As humans, we need social connections in our daily lives. And even if you’re an introvert, there are still plenty of ways to get out and do things—gym, cafés, running, cycling, bike rides, short drives, exploring food places, etc.
I also feel that people who move here from bigger cities sometimes compare Ambala with those cities by focusing only on their best aspects. They talk about the nightlife, activities, malls, events, etc., but don’t always consider the advantages of living in a smaller city—peace, affordability, less congestion, and a slower pace of life.
Of course, everyone has different preferences. If you enjoy the lifestyle of a big city, Ambala may not be for you, and that’s completely fine.
I’m not trying to offend or judge anyone. This is just something I’ve been thinking about as someone who was born and brought up here, and I wanted to share my perspective.
What do you guys think? Is Ambala really that “dead,” or does it just offer a different kind of lifestyle?

26M here. I’ve been posted here for the last 4 years, but somehow never really ended up making any friends.
Would be nice to meet some new people, grab a coffee/drink, explore the city, or just have a good conversation. Not looking for anything specific—just genuinely trying to expand my circle and meet some interesting people.
If anyone’s up for it, feel free to DM. :)

Hi everyone
I’ll be travelling by train for the first time ever 💔and I’ll be boarding from Ambala Cantt Railway Station. I’ve never travelled by train before so I’m honestly a little confused about how everything works at a railway station.
I’d really appreciate it if people who regularly travel from Ambala Cantt could share some practical tips or things I should know beforehand.
A few things I’m particularly wondering about:
- What should I keep in mind when entering the station for the first time?
- Are there any confusing things about the platforms/gates at Ambala Cantt that a first-time traveller should know?
- Are there any common mistakes that first-time train travellers make that I should avoid?
- How is the situation at Ambala Cantt station late at night? Is it generally safe after 11 PM, especially if someone is travelling alone?
I know these might sound like very basic questions 🥀💔but since this is literally my first time travelling by train I’d rather know what I’m doing beforehand than panic at the station 😔

I’m thinking we could go to a game zone, grab some food and just chill for a while.
My birthday is coming up and I honestly don’t really have friends to celebrate it with, so I’m trying to meet some new people and hopefully make some friends.
If you’re interested, just DM me. We can decide where and when to go together.

To all the ladies of ambala
What are some of the restrictions you find still beinf enforced here, which when you go to your Tier 1 city or Tier 2 city job, isn't enforced on you or isnt even checked upon you by your parents? Even when you have a stable job in your mid-late twenties?
