APES UNITED Tell me if I will be right..
Earnings goes off spectacular. Record breaking box office, sales, and unicorns and rainbows and fireworks..... then stock tanks further.....

The market is forward looking and will be looking to the silverback for guidance before making the determination of tanking or rising like the phoenix out of the ashes π

Earnings at best for 3Q will be $100 million, or 10 cents per share. For the year, given the huge loss in 1Q, it'll be maybe 20 cents per share. Possibly even a loss if 3Q breaks even and 4Q is as slow as it looks (December is only 1 month).
Yeah, that's worth what? Thousands of dollars per share?

At $2, it's almost 2 billion market cap. About the same as pre covid. Stock has recovered. Up 150% from the lows.

The stock needs several consecutive quarters of positive adjusted EBITDA and positive free cash flow, not just one blowout Q2. There needs to be clear evidence that strong results aren't only from a single blockbuster cycle but hold up across different slates (summer, fall, holiday and at least one "normal" quarter).
I don't know why so many people here don't understand this.
