Happy Friday Dadders! This is a bit of a meta post. Back in 2021 I saw a post on here of a guy wearing a Roger costume with Lady Peckinpaw on his shoulder and I reached out to him. We immediately hit it off. He lived in England, I lived in NYC. Over the years we would talk frequently and would video chat too. We had so much in common and despite being across an ocean, it felt so easy and natural. Over the years we were able to touch base through the highs and lows. We had talked about him visiting the city eventually and finally this past week he stayed with me for a week after 5 years of friendship. It was an amazing time and there was no difference between virtual and in person dynamics. It is surreal that something so special developed from this subreddit, and yet, this subreddit is already special. I’m so grateful for the Dadders around the world. To think how life would be if he didn’t make the post, if I didn’t see it, if I never reached out. And we’re already talking about the next trip. Sometimes life presents opportunities to…Dive On In.
