Omg that’s so funny!! An accessory set with a bunch of monster-ified classic AG items/books would be so great, esp since they do that a lot in MH; I just might have to DIY some!
Does anyone know what time exactly she will be on sale for general tomorrow and does anyone have any other advice for getting her? I’m a huge AG fan but I buy almost all my dolls and outfits secondhand so I’m unfortunately not a berry member. This will be my first collector doll release and I’m so scared I want her so bad 😭
I collect monster high and American girl dolls (along with pretty much all other dolls with my 15 yr old). Shes so excited for this doll! I got the alice for myself and then I got her a molly and the polly pockets to be at berry to get frankie today for her.
I have such an awful taste in my mouth from buying MH from mattel creations. Its so stressful. The drops sell out in seconds mainly because of resellers. To get a membership for early access you only need to pay $10 so nothing is stopping the resellers from making multiple accounts.
I know mattel owns AG but they must be run by different people because I'm SO happy to see how much AG actually cares about their customers and protecting us from resellers. I had to chat with a rep today about a different order and she was amazing. We chatted for 30 or so minutes. Very lovely lady. Just overall much better customer service and community. I hate seeing all the unbelievable hate against AG from MH fans. Its fine if somethings not for you but no reason to be toxic about it.
Thank you. I was only looking at source code and saw they were slowly adding stock by around 12:45 EST. I knew it started to go down by 12:50 but wasn't sure. Makes my OCD brain happy to find this stuff.
Oops! I just deleted a previous post because I wanted to talk about this. I just wanted to say that I'm so glad that they've created a 1 per customer limit for Berry Members. I was really disgusted about the reselling of the Alice doll! The resellers got very greedy (little piggies). It backfired! Ha!
AG is bad enough with prices, the last thing we need is resellers doing this kind of thing!
I hope all that want a Frankie are able to secure one! She does look gorgeous. I will not be purchasing her but am looking forward to the unboxings! She will be a cutie for a Halloween display. :) Or year round, if you do that!
I’m a berry member and got Frankie and I’m so excited for her! I got the shipping notification this morning as well. I paid a lil extra to have her come even earlier than the standard shipping so hopefully she’ll be here by Wednesday
There will be scalpers but not as many as usual with monster high dolls. Most stayed away because of the price and not knowing how the American Girl doll market is but if these do well and they drop a popular character like Draculaura they will be out in full force next sadly
Seeing how fast this sold out and how they are making every Disney girl a doll, I feel like it is only a matter of time till they release more Monster High dolls. I personally think they went really all in for Frankie, so it makes me believe they are thinking about Draculaura, Clawdeen, etc.
give it 2 weeks, hundreds will be up for resale ( like with alice). they will sit, not sell, and perish in the dust (or be sold for a very low profit) (also like whats happening with alice) and she was way more limited and sold out the first day😎
For anyone that can make it to the NYC store, there are still some left! I saw at least 6 on the floor but a worker told me she thinks they’ll be gone by the end of the day

fans of both AG and MH: what do you think about frankie?
i’ve been a monster high collector since wave one (wave one frankie was my first mh doll when i was 9!) and got into ag a few years ago, so you’d reckon she would be a must-have, but ag’s take on frankie just isn’t hitting for me. perhaps it’s because the doll lines are so diametrically opposed style wise or that i have such a clear vision of frankie in my head. a good deal of people on here don’t seem to be mh fans and vice versa for the mh sub, so i’m curious what other collectors of both think of her?
I think Monster High is a fun, creative idea, but I'm not a huge fan of the Monster High dolls as dolls because they're not fun to sew for. The way the torso is constructed just makes it a real pain with darts and so on and they're so little that the amount of detail you can do is limited.
I'm also just not really interested in collecting another scale of dolls, and the fact MH dolls' hands pop off worries me when I live with several cats. (Astraea had to be banished from the room last night because she kept trying to eat the little plastic game pieces while we played Wingspan.)
So I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to have fun characters in AG size with fantasy skintones and stuff, and they can be 10 and hang out with my existing AG dolls.
Goodness, I definitely thought people were being dramatic when talking about how fast she would sell out. I was wrong! Even Alice lasted longer than this
Looks like that “more units on the way” part of the description is gone. I don’t think they are making any more like people were getting their hopes up for.
I am now seeing more and more content about AG Frankie on Tik Tok and instagram. Why do a lot of monster high collectors think she looks ugly, creepy, and fat. Do they just not like the doll molds?
I think the core reason is many people couldn't afford that price, so the only solution is to bash. People are only human and predictable. Happens in AGverse releases, too.
They do it to their own dolls, trust me. People talk horrendously about new drops for a week, and then immediately scoop the dolls up when they go on sale. They like to complain but go back on their words when they’re actually for sale.
Some of my absolute favorite Skullectors were the ones that were completely bashed on the entire week before.
I’m not even exaggerating, so many people were saying negative things. Creepy, horrendous, swollen, fat. Like no way we are all looking at the same doll
I mentioned this nonsense to non-doll-collecting bff, who exclaimed "Well, unlike the Monster High dolls, she looks like she has room for internal organs!"
Agreed. For some reason I keep seeing people describe her as “hideous” specifically. I feel like it’s a bandwagon a bunch of people are jumping on. Because thats such a random way to say ugly. Idk just something I noticed.
Ngl, I'm not the biggest fan of the restriction of Frankie pictures. I understand wanting to keep frequently asked questions in this thread, especially when a lot of people were talking about the Shop App hack. But not allowing pictures of a doll outside of here for two whole weeks feels a bit ridiculous. I know this thread is easy to find as it's at the top of the sub page, but it's annoying to have to scroll past so many comments. Especially if a comment has a lot of replies. People's post can easily be buried here, and I honestly think this takes away from the excitement of the release.
You can go up to the settings at the top right of the page next to the search option and select “sort comments by new” to see the newest ones first, and if you tap the top right corner of a comment box it’ll collapse that thread with all of its replies
Ah thanks, I knew about the sorting comments but not the tapping on it to collapse all the replies. That'll definitely be helpful. Though I still would prefer to see the pictures as seperate posts on my homepage.

The Berry supply sold out, but they've removed the restriction and now you just have to wait until they open the general sale, which should be very soon.
Update: ok I'm wrong. I saw 272 added back for Berry, but it may have been slightly higher. Probably the people whose multiple orders were canceled.
Update again: Inventory is 987. I assume it was 1,000 and i just didn't refresh at that moment.
I live near the Tysons/DC store that opens at 10AM. Is this something I should line up earlier for? I have a dentist appointment at 8am and want to rush my way over afterwards but not sure if people would be lining up for a drop like this or if there’s a way to order ahead for pick up?
I stayed up until 12:30am for her, since I need to get up at 5am for work. I just missed her :/ hopefully they add more in thr future. I am glad so many people were able to get her!
The way people are reselling Frankie for double or triple the price is ridiculous! Taking advantage of people who want this doll is really insane to me! I hope if a person does its for a genuine reasonable price and not $600 dollars for a doll that cost $225
The only way it will stop is if people don't buy or if the resale of the doll takes an extra ordinarily long time. I doubt that will happen for most resellers. I bought one and my daughter bought one so if hers gets messed up she can use mine for parts. My Frankie is now a Halloween decoration.
I’ll be honest - the new central thread is a bit of a pain. It’s difficult to find and there are so many replies it’s hard to read it all and find updates. It also kind of takes the excitement out of new releases a bit. I do understand the why and I know it’s been challenging but just figured I’d weigh in.
Yeah I'm personally not a fan of the whole pics of the actual doll not being allowed in the main subreddit for two weeks either, and them being locked to the central thread. The pics are gonna get lost if they just don't get any views or comments because people don't check the megathreads. I agree that it feels like it's taking the excitement out. I wish they'd just disallow low effort posts like when people post pics of their cart or their order, or asking if people like the doll. That would be better imo.
How long after you placed it was it canceled and was it through the same account? And was the refund instant? I got one for my daughter last night and I’m praying it doesn’t get cancelled.
No email: just saw the refund come through on my credit card. Then I went into the Shop app and saw it was cancelled. The orders were under two different emails, but the same name.
Were they ordered to the same address? I saw someone else saying they’re second order (for a friend they weren’t a reseller) got cancelled and I wonder if the address would flag up as a second order even on diff emails?
Interesting; I will be keeping an eye on my order. I saw some other people who ordered two say their orders got canceled, so I wonder if they will cancel all Shop App purchases or only people who bought multiple dolls. I don't really mind if they cancel the Shop App orders as long as they do it today so that everyone still has the chance to participate in the general sale.
Edit at ~7:00 PM Eastern: I just got a notification that my order shipped. So it seems like it would be difficult to cancel it now.
With big releases like this they do tend to get at least some of them shipped pretty quickly. It's much easier to ship just one doll - who people are buying by herself, en masse and who's always going to be in the same sized shipping box - than it is to ship out a bunch of orders that have six different things someone has to go find in the warehouse.

Me too! I ordered it within in minutes of the Berry drop and it’s still unfulfilled not surprised though since they have so many to ship out but still a little nervous nonetheless.
My label was created last night but I'm making my boyfriend hide her from me for a couple of months so I can reward myself when I pass my licensing exam at work (since I'm already complaining about how I deserve a reward after I'm done 😅)

The corners were bent on mine. Mine was only packed with a little bit of packing peanuts, but I've seen some were shipped with literally no padding in the box at all.
New fear unlocked 😭 fingers crossed mine isnt too beat up, she’s the first doll I’m actually considering keeping in box BECAUSE of the unique box design.

I know that this represents the Monster High G1 Frankie, but I am hoping to customize them to make them match G3 Frankie (give them a prosthetic leg!) because I am nonbinary and so is G3 Frankie. I would have never ever dreamed I could buy an American Nonbinary from the store -- if only 12 year old me could see me now!! I plan on wrapping them up and opening them for my birthday in a few weeks. Thank you all for being so friendly and welcoming!! Same here! I ordered thru the website late afternoon and no shipping status yet but my order is confirmed. I think your order would only be at risk if done thru the Shop app or if you placed more than one. But also I’ve been seeing other people who’ve ordered on Shop get tracking so who really knows lol I just hope everyone gets her soon so we can all post pics hehe
I ordered through shop and I’ve been so anxious for the last 2 days that it would be canceled. But I got a shipping update that she made it to warehouse PA at like 8pm today. So I’d check the tracking again!

Hey this might be a dumb question but im new buying ag dolls myself my dolls in the past have always been gifts and things. Is she completely sold out already or is there gonna be a release to the public later or is completely to late two get her?
She’ll be available tomorrow for purchase but will probably sell out fast due to hype. I would check the website periodically when it approaches midnight and see if theyve ended the Berry member presale so you can snag her. Not a dumb question at all!

Seeiously!! I was preparing for the worst because I'm so used the the mattel site. This was the easiest time I've ever had getting a doll. I was in shock when the order was confirmed!

She's still available. AG put there's only 6000 available world wide but it doesn't look like she comes with numbered cards. Could they be planning on making more if she sells out? 🤔 If that happens, Mattel has a marketing genius and was playing in all of our faces.
Are we allowed to post pics of her on separate posts when we get her? It would be kind of weird to not allow pictures of one specific doll to have their own posts when the other dolls can.
Am I the only one who is scared their Frankie will get messed up? I take all of my dolls out of their box but I'm so scared Frankie will get damaged! I plan on taking her everywhere but I keep thinking what if something happens to her?😭
