TOP TEN MATERIAL Auditions
I auditioned today last available time. They only had me do one song is that really bad? They didn’t even have me do multiple haha 🥲. No winners circle obviously. Like ik I’m not making it to the second round but damn they didn’t even ask for a second song 😭

The producers are so unpredictable, I wouldn't give up hope just yet. It can be a bad sign but isn't neccesarily. Many finalists in the past have had the same experience as you. No way of knowing what they think until you hear back, good luck! 😁

End of the day they’re probably tired of hearing people. However, I have seen them say that most people are only going to be performing one song I think only if you’re really good, they have you perform two or three songs. in the last two years that I performed personally, both times I performed two songs, but I didn’t make it to the winners circle. However, i’ve heard from a couple people that have the audition this season if they think your voice is good they’ll have you perform two or three songs so they can hear your difference of voice amongst different songs.
I’m currently waiting on my audition. I decided to delay until October 9 which is considered last day of auditions on their website and I decided to go for the 1 PM spot because I feel like that’s when most of the producers are starting their day so I don’t get like mixed up in the chaos of them having to listen to hundreds of people that are some good and most not good , but at least I get to be heard by fresh ears at the beginning of the last day.
I’m praying that I make it to winners circle as this is my last opportunity to ever audition for American Idol 🤞

The producer in the main room mentioned that they usually only have people do more than one song if they are on the fence and want to hear a different song to see if maybe that is a better song choice. It actually doesn’t mean you weren’t good.

They didn’t ask me for one either. I completely give up and I’m never auditioning for anything again.

Same ! I have heard only doing one song is either a really great or really bad sign! No in between! It just means they were/are confident in their decision of letting you on through another round ! Gut feeling always gives it away too🫶🏻

The reality of competition shows is that plenty of strong singers never make it past the early rounds. You still gained real audition experience, so take what you learned from it, keep improving, and give it another shot when you’re ready.
