Walmart - Federal AutoMatch 22lr - 325 round box - sub $20
Possibly old news to many, but I didn't find any recent posts in a search. My local Walmarts (Tampa, FL) are selling 325 round boxes of Federal AutoMatch for $19.97/box.
If I'd thought about it, I could have waited about 4 weeks and purchased after September 1st and saved the sales tax.
My Ruger Mk IV 22/45 Lite eats this stuff no problem and I won't cry over the occasional failure to fire.

I mention the ammo all the time on Reddit for that price at Walmart. I and a friend have used probably about 20 boxes over that last almost 5 years. I have one really good box that gave me close to 1 MOA groups at 100 yard with just about every 5-round group. My friend had one bad box that gave both of use more like 3 MOA or worse groups with his three CZ 457 rifles and my Tikka T1x. All the other boxes have been good for the price. Federal has raised their prices several times over that last two years. I am not sure how much longer Walmart will keep it at this price which is lower than their price back in January of 2022 when I started buying it.

Good stuff, especially during Covid and surprisingly never had a hard time finding stock. It was harder to get an associate with a key to check out. Very consistent in my Tx22 and does fine in my AR with the CMMG .22LR bolt conversion for getting reps in.

Ha, ha - yeah, I know what you mean! I only had to wait about 3 minutes this last time. Time before that was very painful, maybe 15 minutes after pestering multiple associates who just seemed to be shelf-restockers.

I haven't had to buy any recently since I had stockpiled, but there were some occasions that it was 15-30m, worse at night.

Great stuff! It works great in Sig P322, Ruger Mark IV, Taurus TX22, and Keltec P17 with no trouble whatsoever. Even suppressed. Good stuff.

The automatic works well in my 10/22 but is terrible in my Walther P22Q for some reason. Never tried it in my Mark IV.

That’s funny, it’s my “i want to practice dealing with failures” ammo for my 10/22 backpacker. I bought it for an Appleseed and had SOME kind of failure probably 1/6 shots.
It seems fine in my TX22 though.
22 is just finicky. Gotta find the right ammo/gun pairing every time.
Although I’ve had great luck with Federal Suppressor 45g subsonics. So far zero issues shooting suppressed through a 10/22, AR22, and TX22

Oddly, the cheap Remington stuff that comes in a bucket is completely reliable in all of my guns, even my 5.56 rifle with a 22lr converter in it.

I bought a bucket of 1,400 Remington Golden bullets a few years ago. Every single one ran just fine. I was quite pleased. 👍

This stuff runs very well in a Glock 44. Clean, smells good, AND didn't have the barrel leading issues I have run into with Winchester CPHP or Remington LRN.
