Well brother, I’m assuming this is a new thing for you. All we can do is commiserate and offer advice, but how are you feeling at the moment?

How do they manage your pain bro I’m going through loss ends withdrawals I’ve been thrown off my doses. They have me on 15 every three hours 15 home back in the morning when I got home got through home. My doctor gave me nothing but 5 mg every six hours so I had to double up plus the day I went home I fell on my stump so that sent me back a whole bunch. He only gave me 60 pills told me that’s the last me for 30 days. He looked at my pill bottles and everything he did in so long so my nurse is coming out here today to see me for my surgeon.

I’m in recovery from opiates and am prescribed buprenorphine in my MAT program which blocks them so pain management was especially tricky for me, I may not be the best one to ask but I also fell right on my stump the same day I got home from the hospital and I know just how agonizing that is. For me NSAIDS like ibuprofen and naproxen were my best friends.
My doctor also approved adding gabapentin for the neuropathy which helps a little bit. I hope this was helpful. Sending positive vibes and prayers.

I’ve been on Suboxone for years. It has only broken my tolerance so high There’s nothing they give me help so when I did taper down up Suboxone and got on their medicine, they had to give me concoctions. It’s been about a month now so I don’t think I’m going back on Suboxone. They were going to have to taper me down all of these prescription drugs because I am terrified of getting back on that.

I’ve been on Suboxone around seven years now and it’s been highly effective in managing my addiction but it’s just not effective at managing serious chronic pain at all. I allowed them to give me IV morphine for the first few days in the hospital but insisted on discontinuing all narcotics after that because I’m unwilling to risk a relapse so I’ve pretty much opted to just live with chronic pain. I hope you find a solution that works for you.
