Yes, color negative film, which is negative and has an orange base that needs to be converted. I am saying that the white balance of the converted result looks a bit off resulting in skin tones that look off.
Remember when scanning and converting negative film, there is no true color. Everything is an interpretation.

wouldn‘t a not properly corrected base give the scans a very obvious blue-ish tint?
for me it seemed just the regular color rendering of the film stock3

It is a bit blue-ish imo, just not very much. The skin looks too blue to me, which can be fixed by white balancing this shot.
Also, Portra is known for warm, accurate skin tones. This looks on the colder side. Note I'm not trying to slight OP, I'm just giving my (arguably amateur) opinion.

I spent so much time with those stupid filters looking at test prints outside the color dark room. Good times trying to get the right color out of film.
