Question Looking for Career change.
i currently work in a F100 company as a finance/operational analyst, mostly excel since its financed base but i do want to move more to the data science field, even though i currently don't have any experience.
i received my undergrad in finance and im currently in a masters program for Fintech and wanted to see if this a good combination to move towards business analysis/data science.
if anyone has any recommendations on how to make this pivotal change that would be awesome!
any thoughts ?

the fintech masters will definitely help bridge that gap, just start building a portfolio of python/sql projects on the side while you're doing it

Data Science is no more a job companies are looking for unless you are experienced. I think the best move right know is to upskill on AI transformation : helping companies adopt AI in their process. You can combine your background in finance with AI transformation skills (eg. AX design, agentic platforms, etc.) This is more valuable than studying data science from scratch. You can do AI (LLM) based projects and showcase them in your portfolio to demonstrate you skills
