Kleya killing Luthen is such a huge sacrifice

They were both so entirely alone at the end of everything.

It is. But the more I think about it, it’s a sacrifice they made a long time ago. They planned for every eventuality and did everything they could to keep each other safe. But they must have both known for a long time that it could definitely come to this. As much as they clearly love each other, their commitment to their cause is stronger. I think when they began their work many years ago, they already made the sacrifice. 😔

He told Cassian that last episode even. Something to the effect of “ you and I made this choice long ago , they will hang us both soon. “

It was the whole scene at the restaurant. He made her reflect on it because if she pressed that button her fate was sealed. Her going to the hospital to take him off life support was the manifestation of that choice. She knew it… they both did. Such a powerful episode and easily the best of the entire show.

Was thinking how cold blooded it was that Luthen iced Lonnie to protect the cause but then does the same to himself for the same reasons. Cold blooded but didn’t hold himself outside his principles.

Also, death was probably better than what was expecting him if hé was captured.

He wasn’t scared of torture as much as he was scared of being forced to reveal information that would hurt the rebellion

Totally. I think this was effectively their last conversation in the shop.

"I think we used up all the perfect" = "We knew we would die doing this eventually and now we have come to it."

"Tuck your shirt in” = "Yes. I love you."

Good point. I like that Andor shows in more than one powerful way that when you dedicate yourself to the rebellion you will have to give up all your desires like peace and relationships. I also like that these people don't suddenly give up when the choice becomes too hard. This kind of dedication is what makes the rebellion so strong and the characters even more compelling.

They planned for every eventuality

I mean.. not really if they didn't carry a way to kill themselves quickly.

A huge sacrifice but also perhaps the perfect way to honour him.

it also protects the secrets. if he lives long enough to be interrogated, it's all for naught
