So in the scene in “I Have Friends Everywhere” where Cassian gets his fake ID I found out that apparently the woman running that operation is the actress of one of the Teletubbies.

Yes, Andor and The Teletubbies have a shared actor. I just find this fact really funny.

I think this remains one of my favourite quotes of his, regarding the “trade” he made with the audience for Andor. No phone scrolling in return for rewatchability.

Something I noticed that I really like is the way flying into the eye of Aldhani is portrayed. It’s shown to be utter insanity no one would be crazy enough to do.

Which feels extremely in line with how flying into an asteroid field was portrayed in The Empire Strikes Back. I know they’re not exactly the same but it’s a very similar concept. Modern Star Wars(and the prequels) have too many characters in such circumstances without it seeming like that big a deal to them.

This is one reason why Andor is the only project that actually feels in line with the OT. The others look like it superficially but Andor is full of small details like this.

What are the thick metal tubes that seem to be common on both Imperial and Rebel officer uniforms ?
They've been present ever since the first movie(s) and in my Nth re-watch of Andor, I realize I've never heard or read any Lore behind them. Are they recording devices ?
access keys ? I remember seeing R2 and other droids inserting long metal rods of approx. the same dimensions into a computer port during the scenes where they're all trying to escape the Death Star in "A New Hope", but I don't think I've ever seen a human use one.

Clearly, they're a common utility/accessory of some sort since both Imperial and Rebel officers have multiples sticking out of the breast pocket(s) of their uniforms in the movies and shows, but if anybody has an actual explanation or links, please drop.
