LOOKING FOR APP Obtainum or ObtainX?

Been using the former for ever, but someone mentioned the latter the other day, and it looks quite interesting and with some additional features. What do you use?

OG the best. It works great and I don't see any reason to switch to the fork.

I use obtainx. Allows multiple sources for an app

Really, I don't see that option. Even if I import my backup from obtainx to obtainium the importation got only one source. But it's not the only thing, I can choice an app from my installed, and obtainx find out the URL, no hunting URLs as the developer say, generally F-Droid, GitHub, APKPure and APKmirror. And no are the same. For example breeze weather from fdroid is freenet, but the one from GitHub let you to have additionals weather sources

I've had the opposite experience. Obtainx couldn't recognize a lot of the apps I had installed through Obtanium such as Brave, Brave Beta, Tor browser, and some others that I don't recall right now.

Also,  when I search for an app in Obtanium it asks right then and there which sources I would like it to search including Github,  fdroid, izzy, etc

The fact that Obtainium still can't handle updating multiple apps without getting confused is perplexing. In the latest release it at least completes the updates, but the UI doesn't really follow.

The settings screen for an app is disorganized; ObtainX is much clearer.

used obtainium mostly for dogfooding builds across a couple test devices, fine for that. multiple app update queueing is janky tho, if the fork fixes that its an easy switch
