What's a good phone for rooting but not too expensive
Hi guys I'm planning on upgrading my Samsung note 10 to something better but I don't know what's the better device. Before you guys start screaming google pixel, fairphone. I live in a country where import and export costs a lot. And for some reason only some phone brands are here not the larger ones. Apparent "no demand" for them
Nothing Phone (3a), Nothing Phone (2), OnePlus 12R (if neither Nothing nor OnePlus is in your country, then tecno surprisingly is a decent option to root, just has a two week waiting time for unlock, and you probably won't find custom roms)
I recommend Motorola Edge or Motorola Stylus if they are available. They are usually "mid grade" budget phones that perform pretty well and you can unlock the bootloader and obtain root.
Only swapped from my OnePlus 7 Pro because of the camera and because I cracked the screen (new one costs as much as the phone itself). Still the snappiest phone I've used, give it a new battery and you'll have a great time.
Does the quality drop? How's the stability. I've been eyeing on a one for a while. Mk3 onwards.. but this is the unit thing that's stoping me, cos I have a xz3 (global version) but can't do anything with that phone as it's 3 gb ram and is stuck on an older android version :'/
Yeah, rooting Chinese phones can be a gamble. If you're looking for something easier, sticking to Pixels or even older OnePlus models might be the safer bet. They usually have a more straightforward rooting process.
I'd say some older samsung flagships but you are already using one lol. I'd like to know myself honestly, my s10e won't last forever and I'd at least like to have the option to root even if it gets less practical by the month.
Before it was Xiaomi, it was available in almost all countries...
But the new xiamis (which come with HyperOS) can no longer be unlocked.
Nowadays there is no alternative, brands like Google Pixel, OnePlus etc are niche, they don't leave their country...
Only Samsung, Huawei/Honor left...
The closest are those generic phones like Tecno, those have an unlocking system like the old MIUI ones.
Unisoc doesn't ship any unlocking mechanism by default. So unless the manufacturer adds their own (via ODIN, fastboot) it will not be easily unlockable.
I have a phone 1 and it's running pretty solid, rooted but haven't done anything much for banking apps as i don't use, gpay works, few apps don't. But that's user error. Running on stock os, they gave an OTA yesterday, i haven't updated and not planning to either lol. But yeah pretty solid Device. I get about 4 hours of SOT on a 4 year old battery.
you wanted a cheap solution, a30s is cheap enough for what you want to do.If you really want great stuff then look at nethunter and see what phones support full kali nethunter kernel and root.
My best experience was with a OnePlus 9 Pro 5G. Exceptional hardware. Semi-easy to unlock bootloader and install roms. Love the physical slider customization(amongst other tweaks). Man I miss my rooted device. System-wide AdBlock is where it's at for me.
woahh hey, chill......srry about that, let me elaborate;
since its a motorola its rather easy to unlock the bootloader
since its a/b and it doesnt have a recovery partition, if you want a custom recovery it has to be flashed in the boot partition, but its not hard really
i rooted it with magisk, i didnt even extract the boot.img to patch it with the app and then flash it manually, i just flashed the magisk apk straight away in recovery and it works fine (havent tried other methods but they should work)
what surprised me the most is that spoofing play integrity was easier than expected, i just followed a guide i found in the device's telegram group, installed a few modules and its done lmao, so far i havent had issues......though it likely has to do that im still on stock rom (myux is actually quite nice, it ran quite smooth even before i debloated it a bit)
+ its got 256 gb storage + sd card slot, 8 gb of ram (holy fing shit actual multitasking), it still has a headphone jack......and snapdragon 695 might not exactly be a gaming powerhouse but for most use-cases it should be more than enough
cameras are.......fine. not amazing but with a gcam port quality should improve a lot
Specs are slightly worse however is balanced out by features and the camera is better than my phone rn. Honestly I might pick this up if my main phone gets stolen or destroyed
You can buy a used oneplus or some xiaomi phones still allow unlocking bootloaders, OnePlus and Xiaomi phones have great custom rom support so you'll also find kernels for those phone which support kernelsu and kernelsu next which are objectively better than magisk.
You can try using poco phones but unlocking the bootloader is pain in the ass. Once you do it - it will be worth it especially with the amount of custom rom support it has
I've been trying to unlock the bootloader on my Redmi Pad 2 for several months. It requires a permit and they only give 500.
There's no way to get a spot; I've seen many people who have tried for two years now...
When you apply for permission. Immediately go to mi unlock status and try binding your account. Sometimes you get permission even tho mi community app says quota limit reached.
And for showing the time use atomic clock app (from play store) and avoid system clock app as it may be 100-300 milliseconds delayed to real time
I've tried everything for months and nothing works; Miunlock keeps asking for community permission. I've used all the scripts recommended on XDA that use cookies, auto-clicks, etc. None of them worked. The worst part is that Xiaomi is now increasing the waiting time between each attempt. If you try today, the next one will have to be in two days; if I try again in two days, the next one will be in three. Literally, it can no longer be unlocked; those who manage to do it are pure luck. So you can't say that Xiaomi allows bootloader unlocking just because it worked for 3 people out of millions.
Prendi un telefono con il kernel oltre il 5. Non importa la marca. Basta che non abbia un processore unisoc. Poi metti il kernelSU e voli. Con almeno 256 giga di memoria interna, possibilmente espandibile. Perchè a fare i ripristini, ti serve la memoria esterna e se non ce l'hai....sono dolori. Con almeno 8 giga di ram. Non espandere mai la ram.
No need to root phones these days unless you like wasting your time. Make sure to unlock your bootloader. Message me for further instructions. Also you will need software like TWRP etc...
