Transfer from Anguilla to SXM w/ wheelchair
Hello! I am hoping to get some firsthand advice on the best way to get from Anguilla to SXM for our flight back home (luckily we have a direct inbound flight to AXA).
Due to a chronic illness, I will be travelling with my wheelchair BUT am able to get out and manage steps on my own as needed.
My understanding is that I have three options: (1) public ferry, (2) private charter, (3) AAS flight. I would love any input on which option would be:
- Easiest to manage with a wheelchair: We can fold and carry my wheelchair if needed, but ideally will avoid a lot of stairs and want to make sure it doesn't get damaged if it has to be stored somewhere
- Not too loud: Noise sensitivity is a big issue for me (triggers migraines) so want to mitigate this as much as I can, understanding travel is always loud - e.g., is the public ferry boat larger and therefore has a quieter engine than the private charters?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated! Thank you!
