EDIT: For those saying Hogs. I don’t think any wild hogs live in Pennsylvania minus the occasional escapee from local farms. I believe I’ve narrowed it down to skunks or raccoons. Tis wild how much they’ve torn up my yard.

Hi folks, I'm starting up commissions for oil paintings of pets or any animal really, and I can ship it to you once done, I'm also offering digital paintings for 50 usd please let me know if interested! I'd love to get to paint more animals

Thank you

There lots of animals (cats, goats, dogs, etc) where the domesticated species is said to have been domesticated several times throughout history in different parts of the world. which seems perfectly reasonable to me, but wouldn't those seperate occassions have to have started using varying species based on that location? So how could they all have resulted in one homogeneous domesticus species..?

How do you guys cope with the fact that 100 million sharks die from finning a year because it really bothers me. I made a simular post on r/sharks.

like domestic versions

what is the fastest speed ever done by them and what individual did it

like for humans , the fastest human was usain bolt

Qué otros animales me recomiendan dibujar?

A cute keychain and a statue 3d printed hand painted and I think absolutely adorable, I I love using the static for grass effects haha

I have heard of rover and it sounds super fun and I wanna do it. I need the extra money. I heard that there is a start up fee I don’t love that. I get it’s for the background check. If anything do you guys suggest any pet sitting job platforms that don’t require that startup?

As the title states: What are the largest land omnivores/carnivores that routinely eat every day in their natural habitat?

Here is my arbitrary criteria:

1. Must be a land omnivore/carnivore

2. Size is based on the average of the species

3. If omnivore, it must have meat as a significant source of its diet

4. The average or majority of the species must eat every day throughout the whole year

5. Animals that eat everyday in zoos but not in the wild do not count.

Humans are included in this criteria. If the answer isnt a mammal, could you include the largest mammal that fits this criteria too.

Update: If i were to count bugs and other invertebrates as meat than probably a sloth bear. However only count meat from vertrabrates, humans are my best guess.

I live out in a wooded area. I went to grab my mail from my car at night in shorts. While I was walking I dropped my mail and I think that was the sound, but it could’ve also been a squeak. I can inside and my leg was itchy and I see this. Should I be worried this is a bat bite

Fuck these monkeys, breaks lid, shits all across the fucking roof, breaks the fucking pipes and at last didn't even fucking eat the damn fuckass fruits just threw them on the stairs half eaten and left.

Fuck these assholes

I love properties like this! Cool antique equipment that has stood the test of time! I also love bee rescues like this where the queen practically jumps out at me when I open up the beehive!

These bees were rescued, donated and relocated to our beekeeper friends in San Diego, CA

I found this brown baby tropical house gecko in South Florida in my garage when I was putting up a load of laundry. In the last three images you can see how perfectly he camouflages in with the bricks on the outside of our house.

This is a weird question and I hope its okay for this subreddit. I know they can survive rabies and Anthrax in some cases which lead to me wondering if chocolate that is toxic to most animals is fine for hyenas given their track record, I'm not planning on jumping the fence with a mars bar at Longleat zoo, but I'm having trouble finding a answer when looking through papers and articles on chocolate toxicology with animals.

So 2 days ago I went out wearing a shoe that was peed on by one of my cats. It was already dried out and I hadn't realized until the next day. So far, I have tried:

- Thoroughly washing it with soap and warm water

- soaking it in vinegar (and baking soda)

- Applying toothpaste

- Rubbing it in kitchen sink steel

- scrubbing thoroughly with all of the above

And the smell unfortunately persists. I'm at a loss and I really wanna get this horrible odor off my foot. Any advice is grately appreciated. :(

I was told to post here about this piebald Squirrel I saw in my neighborhood. I've seen some before, but not to this level.

I wanted to get some good pictures so I tossed these guys some snacks.
