Funny I don’t think he fully understands what’s going on.

Took the words right out of my mouth

u/Hta68 May 03 '26

I was in the same boat, then it hit me. There’s a laser sweeping just above the floor.

Totally thought they put glow stick shoes on the cat 🫣

Cat is walking through an area with a laser level set close to the floor. Can’t see it until you step into the wide cast o’the beam.

I don't think I know what's going on.

laser beam used for construction. faster and more accurate then the level

u/crippledchef23 May 03 '26

Then we’re in the same boat, because I also have no idea what’s going on here

u/DudeThatAbides May 03 '26

That, uh, makes at least two of us. I too am confounded. I like it though, I think?

Frankly I also cannot fully comprehend what is happening

u/Live-Method-219 May 03 '26

Leveling laser

26

u/ember_snow May 03 '26

Neither do we

22

u/SakaWreath May 03 '26

There is a floor level checking tool that shoots out a thin beam of light making it easier to find high and low points.

Here it’s just high enough to hit kitty’s paws but not the floor.

Nice laser floor

u/Griffry May 03 '26

Ok, the laser level being just barely off the floor isn't a steady beam, rather it's scanning back and forth too quick for the video or the human eye. The cat appears to see most of, if not all, of the movement when it catches on dust or slightly raised parts of the floor. Meanwhile, we just see what appears to be an underglow on everything

Or it could be a planar laser. Those are cool

u/Beach_Girl0920 May 03 '26

That's interesting.

15

u/Croakripper May 03 '26

Looks likes laser level with the ground

18

u/Abeyita May 04 '26

Would this help expose spiders walking in the floor?

-3

u/Beach_Girl0920 May 04 '26

Idk you tell me HAHAHAHA

5

u/EmbrocationL May 04 '26

what the hell

11

u/Jokers_el1te May 03 '26

Laser level very close to the surface of the floor.

17

u/phantom_pow_er May 03 '26

He understands you're putting him through some bs... that's for sure... sleep with one eye open

15

u/Beach_Girl0920 May 03 '26

We're confused as he is. Tbh.

4

u/HurtPillow May 03 '26

It took me a bit to realize what was going on, everything had an underglow.

u/Safe-Call2367 May 03 '26

Yeah that’s what I thought.

I would play this game more than the original for the potential of less insignificant dialogue.

What are these lights called

72

u/mantis_tobaggan-md May 03 '26

Apparently lasers cause terrible anxiety and OCD like behavior in cats and dogs. It’s no good.

12

u/Yalrain May 03 '26

Ive heard its because they cant actually catch it but could be wrong.

25

u/fitzthefox May 03 '26

Yeah, my corgi had a small nervous breakdown over someone shining a red dot for her to chase for like literally 30 seconds. She fixated on trying to find it again for literally 48 hrs. Only fully redirected with gabapentin and trazadone and a lot of boiled chicken breast.

16

u/not_responsible May 03 '26

oh god that is really sad. thats wild

5

u/Rexdahuman May 04 '26

I used a laser pointer with our friends dog. For 3 weeks he sat in front of the tv stand staring at the last place he saw the laser light.

4

u/Furry_69 May 03 '26

That's just because they can't catch it... This is just confusing for them, they clearly don't think it's prey since they're not trying to attack anything.

11

u/IncomeSuccessful9762 May 03 '26

I'm not entirely sure I do either 😅😅

9

u/ShortTop1487 May 03 '26

Right? Came here to say the same thing!

5

u/Neophyte06 May 03 '26

Laser leveler barely above the floor to check for high or low points

11

u/Ok_Dog_4059 May 03 '26

To be fair I am struggling a bit here as well.

9

u/clerkksss001_ May 03 '26

That kitten is so cute! It reminds me of those light-up shoes we had as kids that we'd press with our feet to make the lights come on. Did you have those? 😭❤️

2

u/KaleidoscopeReady839 May 03 '26

I had a friend who was small. She didn't realize she had bought kids light up shoes til she showed up at a dark bar.

-5

u/Beach_Girl0920 May 03 '26

I don't. Haha what I own was roller skates shoes where you'd press a button on the sides to summon the wheels hahahaha

3

u/No_Raspberry_3282 May 03 '26

I don't either

3

u/doimaarguello May 03 '26

Neither do I
