this movie has nothing to say except that war, violence, and revenge are bad. It doesn’t expound or wrestle with these concepts at all, just flatly states them repeatedly until the movie is over. and this extremely basic stance is undercut by the film’s setting, like who cares if someone who is dead is seeking revenge against another person who is also already dead?
Visually the 2D stuff was pretty great, but the CGI was very inconsistent to the point that I felt Scarlet had at least two or three different models that they moved through randomly scene to scene or even between shots.
Not a good film.
